Tombstone prequel with a Doc centric story line.
Val's probably too old but with the tech from Tron legacy that enabled a young Jeff Bridges....It's doable. |

as interesting a movie that would be, i don't think doing the Tron cgi for the character full time for upwards of 2 hours would work, and i can't picture any younger actors in the role doing anywhere near as good as Val. val as Doc is like Jurt Russell as Snake Plissken, no one is ever going to come close, and no one should even try. |

I like remakes. It allows me to see movies I haven't gotten around to seeing. I finally bought the Batman movies but haven't seen them yet. Gonna download the rest of Back to the Futures and watch the 2nd and 3rd ones soon. Then I have The Goonies. Not sure what this Boogie Nights is... but a porn reference, I guess I can check it out sometime.
I think I'm behind on my movie watching. Don't do any remakes of the above, please. |

I'm a nut for Westerns. True Grit & 3:10 to Yuma were both top notch remakes.
I'd prefer to see original Westerns continue to get developed but in lieu of that, there's a treasure trove of great Westerns from the 40's, 50's & 60's that would translate well. |

They have a story line for a prequel. Washington's character was in trouble with some Russians from something that happened in Vegas a week earlier, which was why he needed to raise all that money. Well there's the story line for the prequel. |

OK I don't know where to post this but in the Previews on The Fighter DVD they had a preview for the next Transformers movie and they **** all over Apollo 11 by saying they "lost contact" with them for 20 minutes while Neil and Buzz investigated a transformer thingy.
It pissed me off at so many levels! 1st off Why didn't Apollo 8 or 10 see it? 2 - They had their hands full with landing for the 1st time on the moon, no way they could have got that close on the 1st landing. 3 - Buzz would have got liquored up in the mid 70's and let something slip about seeing alien's. 4 - Nasa would have got a hell of a lot more funding had they found it in 1969. 5 - I am pissed 6 - The Ruskies would have seen it because they had craft imaging the moon before we landed. 7 - Collins in the Command module would have seen it during his solo orbits. 8 - I am really pissed and had a bunch more things to nitpick about before the movie started. 9 - Apollo 11 landed no where near the dark side of the moon. 10 - in the mid 90's the moon was mapped for minerals and water, someone would have found it. It would have been way too big a conspiracy to hide for so long. 11 - Their are pictures taken from Earth observatories(sp) that show all the moon landings, you can google it and see the lander's decent stage tracks. What they should have done was had Apollo 17 find it, it was a J mission with the abililty to stay longer and carry more equipment. That way they could have worked in the Moon buggy to drive over to it and check it out. Plus it would have added the drama of 5 other landings without knowing anything was there. That would also explain why we never went back. I don't mind them using the history of Apollo but think it through before you **** on the greatest achievement in the history of mankind. |

Well... of my favorite 80s movies:
They're already remaking Conan... terribly cast lead actor I'd love to see Bloodsport redone, but new action stars are horrid, so that won't work. That leaves: Coming to America ![]() Now starring Lil Jon ![]() The Princess Bride Now starring: Chris Evans, Isla Fischer, the new wrestling Giant guy, Mike Myers as the "Inconceivable!" guy, and Benicio Del Toro as Enigo Montoya And Ferris Buellers Day Off: ![]() Now starring: Well **** I dunno. How about Troy from Community? and Seth Rogan as Cameron |

With great films like Ferris Bueller for instance, rather than remaking it, which is pointless, a where are they now sequel 20 plus years later is not a bad idea. Remaking the Princess Bride, which has so many classic scenes and already good neither requires a remake or an update. It's a fairy tale, the happy ending is the ending and the ever after is implied. Remaking it would simply be a way for the studio to **** it up and they would **** it up. |

![]() So you think "The Last Starfighter" had a good premise? And I've got news for you... the iconic ones are the ones being remade. Of the 80s remakes: Arthur - iconic Conan the Barbarian - iconic Red Dawn - iconic (not mentioning Star Trek and Karate Kid reboots) And most recently in the remake category - True Grit won an academy award and a golden globe |
