Honestly, I'd DEFINITELY be more worked up over noodles in the tub. Calling the troopers for a misplaced moose is unnerving... but free! Plumbers... not so free!!!

I understand gross!!!

When moose get scared they crap MOUNTAINS of moose nuggets, which one of my dogs was more than willing to roll in. I do not like washing moose poop off dogs, but at least it was the little dog and not an 80lb one.

I guess I just needed to be distracted on Monday.

Wow! That was not what I wanted to hear right before going to bed... We're under a tsunami warning with estimated initial wave arrival at 0416. Guess I'll be staying up tonight. Glad I live on the side of a mountain so that I'm not one of those advised to evacuate.

Damn those Japanese earthquakes!

We had a cow moose... with a calf... grazing maybe 50 feet from our house a few years back when the kids were smaller. I wouldn't let them go outside to play as long as she was there... momma moose can be very, very protective (read: dangerous).

We had an interesting "wildlife watching" experience last week... a pair of bald eagles were divebombing this poor little duck on the river. The duck saw 'em and dived under the water but they were waiting for it to re-surface. The second time the duck submerged, he swam about 200 yards upstream from the eagles, who were still waiting where he went underwater... and took flight, escaping pretty much unscathed.

In Anchorage several years ago, a momma moose stomped a Japanese tourist to death when it tried to get close to the calf to take a picture. You are right... momma moose are VERY dangerous!

I've actually see an eagle pick a salmon out of the water. It had a little trouble flying off with it, but after almost stalling out, off it went. They are awesome creatures those eagles. But I say... YEA for the little duck!

Ummmm...its like 15 and blowing like no ones business. Full blown blizzard, preceeded by slushy rain makes for fun...roads closed from dickinson to jamestown probably to nearly fargo by now. another pileup on the interstate. People said they were driving and it was like a wall of 0 visibility hit and all the sudden bam they stopped. Yea gonna be a fun night. And with as wet and slushy the early stuff was there is gonna be power outages tonight.
