No, but I like that idea. Wonder why there aren't more karate movies.

could be a soccer movie, don't they kick balls also? In which case I recommend Victory or Bend It Like Beckham

But there are bound to be tons of Jackie Chan films involving the kicking of things or Chuck Norris films.

Once upon a time in China - Jet Li

Once upon a time in China 2 - Jet Li and Donnie Yen with the two fighting each other at the end. Nothing like the lame fight scene in Hero either.

Tai Chi Master - Jet Li

The Legend - Jet Li

Iron Monkey - Donnie Yen, probably his best film before Ip Man

Ip Man - Donnie Yen, best martial arts film to date

Dragon Tiger Gate - Donnie Yen: just slightly over the top, but good

Fist of Fury - Donnie Yen: TV series of Bruce Lee's Fist of Fury

Snake in the Eagles Shadow - old school Jackie Chan

Shaolin vs. Lama - old school kung fu flick

Ninja in the Deadly Traps - what could be cooler than Ninjas attacking the Chinese army?

yeah, my joke failed. I was referencing your last post of epic kung-funess by asking for more kicking

This is a sweet list though. I also highly reccomend Fist of Legend, which is a Jet Li homage to Bruce Lee.

That was a good movie. The fight scenes were good and the whole concept of human emotion being outlawed was cool.

Anything with Tony Jaa in it. The four minute stairwell fight scene in The Protector is worth the price of admission by itself.

Ong Bak 2 and 3 failed. feel asleep through both of them

The Protector made Jaa to be like Chuck Norris. I have never seen anyone get stabbed with a 10" blade in the gut only to get mad and was able to fight faster, better and kill 40 men with his bare hands. Better yet, tie some elephant leg bones to his arm and was able move just as fast (after being stabbed in the gut with a 10" blade). even Chuck Norris would be in awe after seeing this movie.

The movie is stupid as well. A group of over 40 asian mobsters couldn't manage to produce a single gun. The same group of mobsters is led by some asian chick with a whip. at the guy picking up a 500lb elephant and twirling it around like it was Orton.

I do admit, the fight scene on the stairwell was good.

Nastiest fight scene I've ever seen was in Eastern Promises with Viggo Mortensen. Two Russian mobsters come into a steam bath and try to take out the main character, Viggo. They have knives. He has a towel. Really gave me the creeps.

Growing up we would watch Stephen Chow movies will pregaming on Friday nights. God of Cookery is another great one but a Chinese Odyssey was the most memorable to me (mind you it's EPIC and about 6 hours long).

I don't remember a towel. Just knives and a penis.

I like my fights to have less penis (like none).

Finally rented it and afterwords thought what was the hype about? Good movie, definitively not Oscar worthy. This from a David Fincher fan.

For Oscar worthy I nominate, Exit Through the Gift Shop. Living in LA I never noticed the hysteria over the event documented in the movie.
