If you are into Mafia flicks you must watch Gomorrah. It's real, it's gritty and the director (who also wrote the book it was based off of) has a multi million dollar hit on his head because of it. From what I understand it's a very accurate portrayal and it's not glamourous in the least- they are ruining their country- it's absolutely intriguing.

Has anyone see the follow up to City of God entitled City of Men?

That wasn't Cameron. Cameron did the sequels. That was Ridley Scott.

In the spirit of the OP, I recommend The Razor's Edge (another Bill Murry classic).

Mosquito Coast is one of Harrison Ford's better movies. It's not a well known movie but definitely one of his finer acting performances.

I 2nd most of this list, though I really didn't care for AI (If am going to watch Kubrick, it's either going to be the Shining or Dr. Strangelove...though a little known flick called the Killing is quite good and I would say influences the work of Tarantino). And No Country for Old Men was okay, but honestly I was pulling for Michael Clayton that year. And American Beauty just irks me, it just seems oftly smug to me. But I love love that you have Time Bandits on here, I didn't think anyone else in the world knew that move besides me.. Terry Gilliam is loopy, but I love him (Brazil is a trip of a film).

I think The Adventures of Baron Munchausen is probably my favorite Terry Gilliam film, the end of Time Bandits used to freak me out as a kid.

Did anyone see the Imgainarium of D. Parnassus? I'm wondering if that one is any good.

I wish Kubrick had lived to do AI himself. Some of it is absolutely breathtaking, and some of it is drowned in Spielberg schmaltz. I've always loved Gilliam's films.

Thanks. I know The Town didn't catch on with many people for some reason, and I don't really know why. Maybe the built-in dislike for Affleck? But for me I absolutely loved every second of that movie, and I put it up there with some of my favorites the last few years.

What was the last good movie Affleck made? I saw The Town and it was arguably his best film is a long, long time. That being said, he's taken a huge back seat to Matt Damon. Damon used Good Will Hunting to really launch his career into the stratosphere, while Afflect seems to just sit and spin...

Yes, Matt Damon is a better actor then Affleck. But I liked The Town and even his last directorial effort, Gone Baby Gone, which makes me realize Good Will Hunting may have been just as much him as Damon in the writing, which I never really was sure about. I think Affleck will likely focus more on the directing, he's pretty good at it. But to say his films are all bad, well he's had a lot of bad ones that's for sure, but he was in Hollywoodland and he was pretty good in that. And oddly, he was pretty decent in He's Just Not That Into You (not a very good film by any means), but he was good, not Matt Damon by any means, but okay. And State of Play was a good film, though that was more about Russell Crowe than him. My favorite acting from him was his earlier stuff, largely with Kevin Smith, like Chasing Amy, Dogma.

Mary Shelley created Frankenstein in the 1800's.

Gods and Monsters is about the guy who directed some of the Frankenstein movies in the 1930's.

Its a solid flick. They handled ledger's character pretty well. If you have not seen it it is worth a viewing, but wont be a flick you watch over and over. (at least for me, anyway)
