A co-worker brought up "Law Abiding Citizen" while we were at lunch on Friday because she thought I would like the twist, luckily it came instantly on netflix, so I added it, and when we were talking to another coworker later in the day, she thought "Shattered" was similar, as far as a twist.
I, by far, liked Shattered better than Law Abiding Citizen, because I couldn't guess the twist in Shattered. Didn't see it coming, at all. Law Abiding Citizen's twist I saw coming, but it was still entertaining. Would recommend both movies. Neither are art house, or incredible acting or cinematography, just pure entertainment. |

Memento- This may be familiar to some of you, but it was not a blockbuster by any stretch. Just simply one of those rare, unique, and original story's that gives me hope for young filmmakers.
The Last of Sheila- Mystery lovers will appreciate this one from 1973. Written by Anthony Perkins(yea, the Psycho guy), and played by an all-star cast(for that time) that includes James Coburn, Dyan Cannon, Richard Benjamin, James Mason, and an absolutely beautiful Rachel Welch. Defending Your Life- Albert Brooks take on the afterlife, and his chemistry with the great Meryl Streep, makes me wonder why this comedy didn't do better commercially. And God Spoke- A mockumentary that rivals Spinal Tap, imo. A couple of 2-bit movie producers make their epic Bible movie that would make Cecil B DeMille roll in his grave. A highlight is seeing a biker-type guy that played God, explaining all his tatoos, and how he was on acid while at a Led Zeppelin concert. ![]() Last edited by R8R H8R; 02-07-2011 at 11:21 AM.. |

The Great Santini is a great movie. They released it as "The Ace" and then later put the original name back on the film. Just a little trivia for you all...

Great list. I would yank the Town right off there real quick though. It was good, but that list is great, not just good.
