I just picked up a bottle of Sobieski, Polish Rye Vodka, that I heard a lot of good things about. Best part, is that the distiller wants the Vodka to be high quality (4 time distilled) at good price. So it was 12 bucks for a litter.

I've had MD 20/20, but not Buck Bunny. Maybe I'll try it just to remind myself what throwing up feels like.

I haven't had MD 20/20 in years! Actually Jager and root beer isn't bad. But I'm more of a crown man myself. If you I want to switch it up I'll get bombay sapphire and cranberry.

The kids at bars around here are doing a lot of shots that Red Stag stuff.
Not sure how it is as a sipper though. |

Had Michter's Straight Rye last night in Steamboat, at a little place called Bella's. That stuff blew my mind. Anyone else had it? Know where I can get some in Denver?

I love a good whiskey straight up, but I just cannot see the interest in straight vodka. The point of the stuff is to be as flavorless as possible so all you end up tasting is the ethanol. To each his own I guess.
My favorite sipping drink that I have been able to afford so far (as a college student with no money) would be Balvenie 12 year old doublewood, but I'm venturing into the single-barrel bourbons and have found a few that are decent, but I can't remember the names off the top of my head, just the bottles. |

I hate sipping, the only time I drink not to get drunk is this, preferably after it has had fresh walnuts in it for 6 months for flavour and color.

Any decent liquor store will have it. It's not hard to find. And yes, its delicious.

And it's back. Right now I'm knocking back some Jack Daniels just to change it up.

Great thread... and for a few of you, get ready, because this is about to become 'your drink'.....
