Default Favorite Beatles album tracks

The Beatles on iTunes thread got me thinking of what tracks I would download if I didn't have them already. I then came to the realization that many of them would be album tracks that don't show up all the time on the classic rock radio stations. Here's a quick off the top list of my top 15:

1. You Can't Do That
2. The Night Before
3. Cry Baby Cry
4. Savory Truffle
5. All I Got To Do
6. Two Of Us
7. I've Got A Feeling
8. Tomorrow Never Knows
9. I Just Seen A Face
10. Hey Bulldog
11. Lovely Rita
12. She Said, She Said
13. Glass Onion
14. The Word
15. For No One

What are your fave "not on the radio all the time" Beatles tracks?

Abbey Road Side 1 as a whole for me, but for individual tracks I'd say:
Across the Universe
Nowhere Man
A Day in the Life
Tomorrow Never Knows
Penny Lane
Here There and Everywhere
Long and Winding Road
Your Bird Can Sing
Nowhere Man
Because
And I Love Her
You Want to Know a Secret.

And I'm partial to Good Night, the one Ringo sings on the White Album.

Sticking with the premise of the thread, it was hard to select anything from Abbey Road for me....since that gets such heavy rotation on the stations here. Every track from it (they play side 2 either as a whole or they stop/start it after "She Came In Through The Bathroom Window") all the time. You name the AR track, it gets played at least once a day.

Outside of "Do You Want To Know A Secret", "And Your Bird Can Sing", "Tomorrow Never Knows" & "Good Night", all of those you listed get frequent airplay here....meaning you'd love the classic rock radio stations in these parts Buff

Ok, here's a totally random question. I heard, FOR ABOUT 5 SECONDS ONE DAY FIVE YEARS AGO, a snippet of a Beatles song that was absolutely incredible. I don't know very much about it....

sounded like a ballad.
minor chords, but very melodic.
i THINK it had piano/guitar mainly.
slower paced, definitely not one I'd heard before.
beautiful.
sounded like a sad kind of love song.

I've tried listening through my friends' collection (not a huge collection, but fairly good sized), and didn't hear anything like what I'd heard on the radio that day. It was on one of the old 99.5 breakfast with the beatles shows, but I couldn't ever find the track list for it

Any chance you Beatles lovers could come up with a small list of possibilities?

really wish I had some more info, but unfortunately it was a very brief stint of sound.

Anywho, cheers and thanks in advance!

Melodic and Minor...

Norwegian Wood? Off of Rubber Soul. To my knowledge it hasn't appeared on many albums.

Great song, but unfortunately no. The closest one I found with Doc's suggestion was Girl...but from what I remember it was a bit slower than that even.

Thanks for the help though, keep thinking!

None of my guesses totally fit your list, but I'll take a crack at it.

Try these: "For No One" (best chance of my guesses), "Yes It Is", "It's Only Love" (although no piano in either) and "Not A Second Time" (faster paced)

Definitely sounded pretty close to "yes it is" as far as the songs listed so far in the thread. The time signature from it, kind of a slower 4/4, was really similar.

anywho

I really appreciate you guys trying to help me out here...if nothing else, I'm getting a bunch of great Beatles songs that I haven't really listened to before, so kudos

Well, I tried anyways...glad it helped some.

Funny thing is, there isn't a whole lot of Beatles tracks that are piano/guitar dominated/based....I thought there was more than there are till I actually sat down and tried to think of them, turns out they are few and far between.
