My fraternity's advisor is a big whiskey guy. Bourbon. He's also helping me with the LSAT and going to write my law school recomendation this October.

I want to get him a nice, relatively expensive but not extravagant, bottle of something good.

Any recommendations?

Middleton's Irish. I know it's not bourbon but take it from one who has dedicated himself to this hobby of sampling whisky (or whiskey if you prefer) of all sorts be they derived from barley, corn or rye. He will thank you, and if he shares.......you will understand.

It has gin, lemon juice, sugar and carbonated water. Cherries often on top. I like it. My grandma always orders them when we go out to dinner. Old fashioned drink for sure, dates back well over 120+ years.

I like amaretto sours, whiskey sours, cranberry and vodka, beer. A few years ago I drank jaeger and redbull alot...it is so mind numbing when your brain is screaming at you to go to sleep but your body is so jazzed you could **** a hole through a steel wall twice.
