Is that a regional root beer? I've never heard of it.

Hires is what I miss most, haven't seen it since I was a kid.

No, It's from Portland and you can buy it at Bevmo if you have one in your area.

It's good man, really good.

Just went on their website and sent them a note to tell me where I could get it. Supposedly they have places in every state.

I love me some good root bear and creme soda....and their website pics and descriptions have me drooling.

They emailed me back. No local distributors around here, but they do sell it by the bottle at a local Border's bookstore not too far from me. I guess the ones with the chain coffee shops inside them carry it. May try to swing over there this weekend.

They mentioned amazon.com too. Never thought of buying root beer through amazon before, but after a quick glance, there are a bunch of regional root beers available through them that I've never heard of. Good stuff.

This raises an interesting question. Has anyone here ever ordered soda online?

There are some sites out there that will ship regional/hard to find brands but I'm leery of trying it out.

I never have Hogan but if you don't want to order it I can float you out a six pack on me, just to give it a try.

That's really cool of you Clady. I appreciate the offer and all, but that's not necessary. Bring a sixer to Denver with you next season and we'll check it out.

Went over to the local Borders and they had it by the bottle at the "Seattle's Best Coffee Shop" in the back corner. They had the Root Beer and Orange Creme flavors.....$2 for a 12 oz bottle. I went with the Root Beer. Definitely good stuff, but probably won't make a habit out of that for the price. If they manage to get a local distributor to carry it in Super Markets around here for a more reasonable price, then I could see it becoming a go-to beverage.

Well I'm glad you like it but the price kinda of sucks, hopefully you find it some where else.
