This offense. 4 turnovers, three inside the five yard line. It's almost beyond belief how inept they are right now.

6 turnovers now. I've never seen a team give away a game in such spectacular fashion.

Make that 7 now. Need someone to just hold on to the ball today.

This had to be one of... if not the most.... difficult games I have ever watched.
It's one thing to lose, it's another to completely shoot yourself in the foot in a game that you should win by three touchdowns. I'm taking a week off from watching football..... |

-8 turnover margin. Has anyone else ever seen that in any football game? Astounding. 4 inside the five yard line too. You hear fans of teams say their team "should have won by 20" all the time, but it's actually true here. Each fumble was a little stranger and more surreal than the previous. This season has taken a very dark turn quickly. I'm still with them all the way, but this dampens a lot of the excitement that was building around the program. Hopefully we can pull it together (especially mentally) and challenge the rest of the deeply flawed North the rest of the way.

I'm not sure what to think right now. Unfortunately I don't get much Husker coverage here in Florida so I don't quite know what's happening with the team like I did when I was back in Omaha. I really thought we might have turned the corner after the comeback against Mizzou but everything since then has been total ****.
I think our biggest thing is to improve our recruiting. We need more top tier players. |

That was the worst football I have ever seen. We need a QB and we need RBs that can hang onto the ball. This offense is not going to help win any of the tough games. We are going to have to hope the defense can win them on their own at this point. I kind of expected the offense to be a lot worse this year considering everyone left but the start of the season gave me a lot of hope. That is all gone again.

OU week! Okay, so both teams have been a little overwhelming. Still a huge game in terms of Big XII hopes. Probably not looking at a ton of scoring (at least we better hope so, because we aren't going to hang in a shootout).
Anyway, here is the now famous video that sums up sooner nation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwTpaiihJ_M |

Yes! Kinda a down month for both teams, but beating OU is always sweet. Hopefully this can swing our season from "disappointment" to "solid/growing experience."
Looks like us and the Cats are going to battle it out for the division (who could have seen KU and Mizzou looking this bad at this point in the season?). Our offense is painful to watch at times (especially against a good defense like OU), but the defensive effort is awesome to see. Anyway, great to stop the losing streak against the Sooners and get a nice home win. Go Huskers! |

It's always good to beat OU.
They need to pick a QB and stay with them though. I would rather one grows as much as possible for next season. It also would help the game plans, play calling, and preperation in practices. Especially since they are such different QBs. I really don't want to see them keep switching. The offense is not good but the defense is great. I love watching this defense. I would put our front 7 against any front 7 in college. They are all over the place. What is really nice about that is a lot of them will be around for a while. Losing Suh will hurt but I think we finally have a coach that will make us a consistently good defense. Now we just have to hope they can figure out the offense. |

Last year we gave up 62 to the Sooners. This year 3.
Last year we gave up 35 to the Jayhawks (in a win) and the year before we infamously allowed 76 ****ing points. This year? Obviously the defense will have to step up big again, because we can't get in a shootout with anyone. And by shootout I mean anything above 17 pts. KU has kind of fallen apart, but I really don't think these teams are that far apart in terms of matching up on the field. Expect a really close game. Hopefully the offense wakes up. I think winning of 2 of these last 3 would win the North (that k-state game being the biggest). Won't be easy, though. The offensive rebuild has been more painful than any of us expected, but the defensive resurgence has been a thing of beauty. Not sure how the homestretch will turn out, but I'm going to enjoy watching this defensive line no matter the circumstances. The turnaround of our front 7 is truly incredible, and I'd love to see them at least get a shot at the Longhorns in a title game. Might not win that game 9 times out of 10, but with our defense playing at its peak we always have a punchers chance. |

Colorado week...
Curious to see how this one goes. The Buffs always get up for NU and may be fighting for their coaches job. If the Huskers look past this week bad things will happen. |

Last week we got more of the former, but the redzone woes continue to be mystifying. It's not just Lee making bad decisions, or RBs and WRs fumbling (all of which are happening in spades). The o-line gets in the act too, with game changing penalties at the very worst moments. I will never forget a 1st and goal against VT turning into a punt on 4th down. Anyway, still looking forward to the game. Hopefully we can continue to clean things up, get a win, and come into Texas with our health and momentum. |

Ah, good memories from last year. I was sitting right behind those goalposts, begging the ball to make it. Alex Henery: so clutch.

Time to beat the crap out of Colorado! This will be the first game I don't get to watch this year. Maybe I can find a TV here at work.

We know how to make winning look ugly. Didn't expect much else, though. Win on the road against the Buffs is always good, no matter how bad they are or inept our offense is. Five in a row isn't too shabby either.

So, I haven't watched Texas this year. I don't know whay to expect from this game. I doubt the offense does much against their defense. We will have to hope our defense can play one of their better games. It would be nice to get a win and be Big 12 champs again. It has been to long.

To get the upset we will need: 1) a good day by Zac Lee 2) an even better day by the o-line on run blocking and 3) at least a 2+ in turnover margin. It'll be tough, but I think we have the ability to represent ourselves well and make a game of it. We are literally 2 plays away from 11-1. We showed against VT and OU we can play against good talent. Just need to make some big plays of offense. |

That one hurt. I really hope to see some changes to what they are doing on offense this offseason. I love the direction of the team though. The defense is ready. We just need to find an offense next year.
