Okay, this whole exchange isn't going as I had hoped.

See, here's what I was thinking.

listopencil referenced "Who is John Galt?" I responded with a reference to Willie Gault - mistakingly thinking it would be funny. See, they both have the same last name - phonetically, anyway. And since this is a football board, I thought it would seem funny that someone would automatically assume the literary reference was actually about a football player.

So, from there, Buff says, "No, that was Willie Gault" - to which I reply, "Who is Willie Gault?" Now here, my logic starts to go even further south. I was referring to the original reference - "Who is John Galt?" It seemed sort of circular, and it was funny in my head.

Then pictures of 80's cultural icons started getting posted, and baja and BroncoBuff gently corrected me.

This whole thing went straight to hell, is what I'm saying.

Oh well, what are you going to do? Who is John Galt?
