Bum, are you planning on bringing the RV? let me know when you figure out what your plans are.

As of now, I will have:

Grill
2 Tables
plates, untensils, etc.....

Hot dogs
Hamburgers
Italian Sausage
(BBQ, Sweet and sour, and hot mustard) Meatballs
Plus some other stuff

And ill have plenty of each........just need an updated count of who is coming.

If you want something special, feel free to bring it. But I will have plenty of food for all.

I should have coke and cherry coke..........but ill just leave it BYOB

I would love a pickled egg, just minimize the open flames after I have one for safety's sake.

PS....(copied this from a forum.....don't know if its true)
Most of the larger tailgating lots allow RVs

Longworth would be a good choice since its a large lot and about a quarter mile or as I like to put it a beer and a half walk to the stadium.

Disclaimer.
Parking in Longworth will put you right in the middle of enemy lines
but your not a division rival so you should have a great time.

well most of the cinci hotels are in the 5/6th street - elm/vine areas so we should try to stay on that side so people can walk (less than 10 min to stadium walk)

If we go on the other side, it woul dbe a pretty hefty walk or people would be forced to pay to park.

The convention center lot looks about right.....but i dont know if they allow RV parking. Unfortunately most of the parking in cinci is garages.....very few surface lots.

I understand your point about the walk...I am walking from Kentucky...I have tailgated in lot E it's down by the river, we had to get there early though. Lots B, C & D I believe are surface lots, not garages and I think Lot 1 was the Longworth you referred to earlier. Anyway, I figured I would post the map and you can say "we are in Lot xyz" and than everyone would have some sense of where they are going.

I talking about my hotel in Kentucky to 5th and Elm not from hotel at 5th and Elm to Stadium. I am staying in Kentucky so I am trying to figure out if you are going to be in Lot 6 (or around there) I wanted to see how far of a walk it will be for me.

Check out the Hofbrauhaus if you like beer.

Zola's if you like burgers.
Located in Covington’s Mainstrauss entertainment district, Zola Pub and Grill is one of the many hole-in-the-wall bars and restaurants that line Main Street between 6th and 7th Streets. When you first walk in, it looks generally like every other watering hole within shouting distance: a long bar stretches the length of the room, topped by several taps and a touch-screen gaming machine. The rest of the room is crowded with 4-top tables, which hints at the real reason patrons frequent the otherwise unremarkable interior.

If sophistication is your thing, Zola doesn’t really have it. With five or so watery domestics on tap and an unimpressive bottled selection, no one is calling this a beer mecca. On my most recent visit, I sat outside at a table on the front sidewalk, and my Guinness was served in a 16oz plastic water cup (no, not even a stiff plastic keg cup.) I would write this off as a fluke, or some part of the more restrictive ordinances on the neighborhood for outdoor dining, but alas this is my second visit in a row during which I was served in a plastic cup. In my book, that’s a trend. At 7pm on a weeknight, there’s no excuse to not serve beer in a proper glass, folks.

The staff are all perfectly nice, but no one’s winning the Waitress of the Year award, if you know what I mean. The interior is clean, but most of the tables have a significant wobble and I’ve seen chairs with more padding in prison. All of this I can easily forgive, if the burgers are good. And my god, the burgers are good.

If there’s one thing that Zola knows how to do well, it’s cook a burger. It comes perfectly cooked to order, every time. The toppings are fresh and plentiful. The bun is toasted. The patty itself is neither greasy nor dry, and is well seasoned. They don’t boast on the grade or the quality of their beef, but it certainly tastes high dollar. The menu prices are fair ($6), with unlimited toppings on Wednesday nights. The fries are thick cut and tasty.

If you’re looking for arguably the best burger in Cincinnati, you owe it to yourself to give Zola a try. Just bring your own glass.

And comedy club in newport on the levee (walking distance) is usually pretty good.
