Holy ****. I never thought about that. You know whats really funny? ok kinda funny, is that on the way to the concert we were stuck in traffic for the show. There were 2 cops directing traffic and they let everyone in my lane go, and then stopped me. I used the "man, I would bust a cap in his ass" line from super troopers. Maybe it was karma.

JK. It was outdoors at an amphitheater and we had lawn tickets. the weather was perfect and he likes music. He danced the night away. He never even fell asleep until we got back into the car for triphome. He loved it.

BTW What is up with all the creed haters? The concert rocked. It was my 4th creed concert. Ok, 3rd creed cause 1 was scott stapp when he was solo. The concert had hoobastank as pregame warmup. Creed rocks (and the tickets were only 10.00 a piece with no ticketmaster charges)!!

Absolutely. Cops can get in alot of trouble for ignoring subpoenas and blowing off court, plus they get overtime, usually 4 hours worth. It's rather rare for a cop to not show up for court, plus the courts are always willing to work around their schedules.

And with a trooper, they probably would be more vigilant since they live and die off traffic citations. They take that stuff pretty seriously where a city/county police officer might not.

If they have that driving course that keeps the points off his license that would be the smart move as it's a sure thing.

lol that might be true elsewhere........but here in OHIO they never show. Rob where was the ticket at? near blossom or further down?

That's absolutely true. Citations are "cost effective" revenue streams that they rely upon for the upkeep of their equipment. They actually lowered the BAC level in NY because the high compliance rate was affecting the state police's bottom line.

Tell that to the Colorado State Patrol, it's like pulling teeth to get those guys to do anything (show up to court, write supplements, etc.).

Don't know much about Colorado Highway Patrol, but I don't imagine they're going to blow off tickets that they write either. Not much logic to that.

They show up for infractions, that's about it. If it's the more serious stuff (DUIs, Vehicular Assaults, HTO offenses), things that would go in front of a judge and jury if it went to trial and not a magistrate, they're incredibly tough to work with.

No. In Virginia 20 over is reckless driving. Just used that as an example of two clients I recently had where going to driver improvement school helped. Got one dropped by the cop and the other reduced to improper equipment. You usually can't just pay a reckless driving. If you have a decent record, go to driver improvement school before court, maybe get your speedometer calibrated, you could well get your finding withheld pending a period of probation.

I got a speeding ticket from an HP going 80 in a 65 and was only fined $55.
