take the absolute most you can afford to spend and then go 4 it.

Bring sanitary wipes and do your whole room upon arrival just to make yourself feel better.

Then hope that enough alcohol is a innoculation for swine flu.

Also don't fall over board.

I dont know about anyone else but we "swam" with dolphins on our trip and IMHO it sucked balls. The ex seemed to think it was cool so maybe your woman would like it.

How one could go to the Caribbean and not go Bonefishing is beyond me, but I dont know how much time you will be spending there. If there is time I would ditch the chick and wet a line for the day.

Oh **** Hey REV

Make sure you contact any of your credit card companys that you may use on the trip.....including your bank and let them know your travel plans.

If you dont your cards will/may get rejected.

The TV in our room had Denver channels on it! I don't know why, but the Cruise Director said that some Lady came up to her really happy and said "I think it's wonderful that the Cruise Line puts everyone's Home Channel on there in-room TV"

My wife and I own a small travel agency and we've been on lots of cruises (21 cruises since 2000) - some suggestions:

At Cozumel if you just want to get loaded check out Paradise Beach:

http://www.paradise-beach-cozumel.com/

They have good food, beach side bar, and it's about a 15 to 20 minute taxi ride from port.

Shore excursions - check out independent shore excursions in addition to ones offered by the cruise line. The independent excursions are often just as good if not better, may cost less, and you are with a smaller group. One website we like for independent excursions:

http://www.shoretrips.com

Dining - Your food in the main dining room and the buffet is included in the cost of the cruise. If you want a special romantic dinner for two one night make a reservation at Scarlett's Supper Club. There's an extra charge ($15 or $20 per person) but we thought it was worth it (we ate at Carnival's Supper Club on another ship, the Carnival Liberty, and it was the best meal we had all week, plus we had a table for 2)

Generally the food I've had on my past Carnival cruises has been good. If you don't want to dress up for formal night eating at the buffet in casual clothes is a good option. We usually dress up for one formal night, take pictures, and on the 2nd formal night stay in our shorts and eat at the buffet.

Internet access: many ships do have cell phone access but they also charge INTERNATIONAL ROAMING. I made a call to our sons on from a cruise ship sailing just off of the California coast in February and I was surprised when I got home that it was at the International rate. What I try to do instead is buy an internet package (they'll sell a block of minutes) and keep in touch with people back home by email.

ID's: Very important that you bring the right id to get on the ship. Passports are recommended. For a cruise roundtrip from Miami a driver's license and certified birth certificate is ok, too. You won't get on the ship just with a driver's license.

Have a great time! I am a convert to cruising myself - I never thought I'd like one but gave it a try with my family in 2000. I became hooked, in 2002 became a travel agent, and now I selling cruises is a big part of our business. Our next cruise is on Royal Caribbean's new Oasis of the Seas in November - a huge new ship that will have ziplining, outdoor aquatic theatre, and more - we are excited for that!

If you have the funds knock out a hot rock massage......that is the **** but apparently they dont have a happy ending on the menu.

Try the "Chum with the sharks" tour. I hear it's a real adrenalin rush. Lots of release forms to fill out though.

Call your cell phone company and google advice about the ship you are taking before you go. Cell phone users on Alaskan cruises that don't make arrangments in advance get charged 2.50 per minute and that's even for unanswered calls that go to thier phone. Avoid the big surprise when you get home. My advice is to turn off the cell phone and use the available internet service on the ship. I was thinking about using one of those "magic jacks", does anyone know if they really work?

HAve fun Rev. I enjoyed my Baltic Cruise last week. I don't know about Carnival, but NCL had had sanitizer all over the boat for the swine flu thing. Alcohol ran about $8.00 each drink, beer was about $6 for the cheaper domestics. I am not a heavy drinker and I still managed to spend about $350 on alcohol. That was 2 or 3 drinks a day (about $20 each time and they auto tipped on the bill 18% everytime)

Have fun.

Back in Miami. She needed to hit the internet center so thought I'd pop in and say hi. I'll provide some pics when I go home in a couple days. Hope you're all doing good.

Few brief pics:

One in the Caymans... blurry, but it shows I'm wearing my old beat up Broncos hat so I'm posting it

Here's a monkey on my back in Honduras:

Snuba trip in the Caymans, brought a sign for my daughter:

Quick couples shot in our room:

Belize cave tubing:

Before dinner playtime:

There's a ton more... like the monkey taking my hat off and trying to wear it and then cuddling up in it, but I think she has all those, so it'll be a bit before they get to me. I've got a ton more too, but recently got back and am in a hurry to get re-acclimated.
