I walked right on board with booze every stop. Just act stupid if they ask you about it. Worst thing that can happen is they "store" it for you until the cruise is over.
I was never even asked about the **** i carried on board. |

We wanted to go on that one but the damm wedding got in the way. Now we have to go to Cancun for 5 days in between to wait for our cruise. It's tough being me.

I have nearly pissed myself reading some of the comments on this thread. You guys are hilarious! Anyway, Rev, be sure that you sign up as soon as possible for the shore excursions. The good ones fill up ultra fast.
Like someone said, you can bring your own liqour on the ship. IMHO, it can be a pain in the ass to get refills if you're soaking in the sun on the deck. I have brought my own in the past, but used it only for pre-dinner cocktails and a nightcap. Other than that, it's so much easier to buy the drinks at the ship's bars. It won't interfere with your fun. I concur with Stingray City in the Caymans. It has been 8+ years since I have visited Cozumel, but my wife and I met our best friends in the world while getting off the ship in Cozumel, so it has a special place in our hearts. We ended up going to Carlos & Charlie's, getting rip-roaring drunk and screwing like rabbits the second we got back to our cabin. Get involved with some of the late-night young adult activities on the boat. We've done toga parties, comedy shows, game shows, etc. They're a great time! Have fun and bring your sunscreen! The sun in the Caribbean is nothing like it is in the States...much more powerful! ![]() |

Dortohs cruise tip of the day.
First day this little bar runner dude catches me on the deck and asks if I wanted anything. I ordered a bucket of beers and when he brought them I handed little dude something like 30 bucks. Best investment of the whole cruise. Little pedro was never far away when my glass would run dry. I ran into that little ****er everywhere the rest of the trip. Mr. Dortoh Mr. Dortoh you need drinks yes. If you have the funds knock out a hot rock massage......that is the **** but apparently they dont have a happy ending on the menu. |

I won over $2K playing Hold em on my honeymoon..the rake sucks balls though..like 20% rake with $15 cap.
The other advice is your seating at dinner..make sure you get a late seating, and not at a huge table with a bunch of other people. Try and get one other couple max |

We had a small table with just one other couple. They turned out to be really cool which is a relief. I talked to one guy at the poker table and they got stuck at a bigger table with some really jacked up old folks ![]() |

Oh **** how could I forget dont miss out on the shrimp saled sandwiches. They are free from room service (for a tip of course)
I'd get to the room at 2 or so in the morning and throw down a couple of those sumbishs before crashing for the night. |

Hotels:
Okay, we're flying in a day early and grabbing a hotel for the night. Then after the cruise, we're staying 2 nights in South Beach. Anyone have good hotel recommendations? I'm looking for something that's affordable so I can blow a few more grand on the cruise itself. Also, logistically speaking, won't have a car. So any hotels with a shuttle service that first night we land from Airport and to Port the next day would be awesome. And is cab fare standard? It doesn't look like the airport, the port, and south beach are far away at all from yahoo maps, but I might be doing it wrong. Worm and AK, you both sound like you've been there multiple times. Advise please, along with anyone else who has some input on this subject. |

We got into town a day early also. Then the day of departure on your cruise they will/should send a bus to your hotel and pick you up and take you right to the front gate of your ship. Same thing when you get back. Staying after the cruise is a good idea...we didnt and you will be happy to not have to rush around when you get into port and run off to the airport. I rented a deep sea fishing deal at the hotel the extra day we were there. I recommend it if your into that kind of thing. Remember the cruise and its staff are going to treat you like a ****ing king. Just sit back and relax they will take care of everything. And dont hesistate to ask for something. They will bend over backwards to make you happy. |

We get in late on the 18th and board the cruise the next morning/afternoon, so I'm thinking a cheap place by the port is just smart. |
