Default 2009 Wsop

WSOP started yesterday with a $40K buy in NLHE event. Any predictions on how big the Main Event will be this year with the economy and all?

He won $3 mil on prop bets w/ that, and he said he's going to put it all back into prop bets into another bracelet (although I don't know if he'll get action again).

I was watching a stream of that on the net, and holy crap was the guy he was HU against a total douchebag. I hate dealer abuse, and that guy just insulted every single dealer for no reason.

where do you watch a stream of that? They are only televising 4 events i think which sucks. Just think if they decided not to film the HORSE $50k event last year? We would have missed out on Nguyen's aholeness.

Yes, I'd like to know also. I sat refreshing poker news last night for updates on Ivey's run.

I found the link off of twoplustwo.com forums, but I think it was Bluff Media that was providing it.

Its amazing how many times Daniel paid that guy off on the river out of curiousity, knowing he only had one pair.

I think he ended 4th with 27 left. This is amazing but I thought Dennis Phillips making it 45th when he was 3rd last year is amazing. His AK suited went up against AK spade suited and spades hit. Horrible way to end your tourney!

If Ivey somehow wins the damn thing, I hear he has 2-3x the payout in side bets. ESPN is praying he makes the FT

Never thought Shulman was good enough for this deep of a run but TV is going to love Ivey in the final 9. Amazing how good this guy is in the poker world. He gets a bracelet in 2 to 7 lowball when he barely plays it.

I guess he has a bunch of bets with people to win the thing. I hear that Andy Bloch will owe him $2MM, Howard Lederer $5MM, Durr...$1MM. etc ...crazy crap. Ivey has some crazy gamble in him.

Howard Lederer said on Poker after Dark that he would pay $10MM for a 25% piece of Ivey's cash game winnings, which means Ivey must be raking in like $40MM in cash games a year. Hell he won $8MM on line last year.

Is the side bets if he wins it or top 3? he is one of the low chip stacks so amazing if he bet to win it all. The final table starts this Sunday and top 2 come back on Monday at 10PM PST (why so damn late?) to see who wins the 8 plus million. It will then be aired the next day. Nice of ESPN to give the editting crew hours to get it together if the heads up match takes forever.

I think its winning the thing..hopefully this years coverage is better. I just dont want to see the bust out hands...I think they only showed 2 hands of the heads up last year
