I don't know Clarker here is a movie with a huge ad budget that is playing in over three thousand theaters on multiple screens and could not hold the top spot for even three short weeks. I predicted in week one this movie would fade fast and it did.

$600 million. Everyone who made a movie this year wishes that it would "fade" so fast as Sith did. I mean it was 3rd but it still made $25 million in the U.S. alone. I mean what movie wouldn't want to make $25 million in it's 3rd week? Hell, most movies, and by that I mean all but a hand full that have ever been made, would love to make $25 million in week one, let alone week 3.

You can always say your right because you never said how much money you or the "experts" thought it could make. So it can make a billion and you could still say with all the places it was showing at it should have made 2 billion. If it made 2, then you would up it to 3.

If it never makes another dime, your wrong. It was not a box office flop.

If you show Killer Clowns from Outer Space in every theater in the world and hyped the crap out of it and if it was a pre quil to a very popular colection of films it too would rake in millions. Lots and lots of people just had to see this movie but that doesn't mean they liked it. If it were really good word of mouth should have held it on top for several weeks as it turns out Sith could not hold the top spot for even three weeks. Like I said no staying power.

What ever. $25 million in it's 3rd week is still out of this world, just admit it.

If it stops making money right now it ranks 15 ALL TIME for gross in the U.S. alone.

I'm sure when George is counting the $600 million, he is worried about staying power.

That's not the point. Just because it is a financal sucess does not necussarly make it a good movie. You seem to think that just because it did not bomb financaly that it can't bomb as a popular film. If everyone in the world saw it and hated it it would still make a shiit load of money

No, don't be dumb. Of course just because a movie makes money doesn't mean it was good.

I like it. It has nothing to do with how much money it makes. You do not. Which is fine. Every one has their own taste. It is just plain stupid for two people to argue about the fact that one person likes apples and the other doesn't.

But you assume that because you didn't like the movie, that no one will and that it would bomb. Which by the fact that it is has made $600 million you are wrong about that. Another reason your wrong is because your one of the few people on this board alone who didn't like it. Just because you only saw it once, that means no one else saw it more than once?

BTW your take that "if everyone one in the world saw it" is pretty pointless. Because of course if everyone in the world saw any movie it would take a ton of money. But since that has never happened or will ever happen, then for it to make $600 million, someone has seen it more than once.

I really don't want to get into this because I know Baja has to just be egging people on and getting a good kick out of it (I would anyway). But the movie Godzilla from a few years ago totally disproves this theory. That movie was super hyped in every theater and bomb horribly.

I'm not into this argument that much but if I was I would go back and see how many times 25 million for the weekend would rank number 1 this year. I'm guessing at least 80% of the time it would be good enough for number 1.

Well, and that depends on your definition of bombed as well. As far as what Godzilla made as far as sales (with pr0n level acting) it wasn't bad at all.

Compared to what was investied into the flick it was a complete failure.

No that can't be, because in Baja's way of thinking since he didn't like it, then no one did.

Understandalbe. He's a solid BB member.

However, I'm a Chiefs fan trying to make my way in a volatile Donk enviornment. I'm not above begging for rep-scraps.....

Actually this is true, each of us create our own universe so in my universe Sith bombs and every pretty woman wants me. And the people of America stood up and voted George W. Bush out of office for deceiving them. Enron exs were striped of all their wealth and the money was turned over to the enron employee's retirement fund.

Here is what Bill Clinton thought of Iraq when he was in office.

http://www.cnn.com/US/9812/16/clinton.iraq.speech/

I believe he also thinks that when a movie makes $600 milllion is not a box office bomb.

Fair enough. The movie still made 600 million and it is still not a box office bomb though.
