I usually prefer movies with deep intertwining subtext, but this movie with it's straightforward approach was very enjoyable.

I highly recommend it.

I'll be off on vacation. If somebody gets to see the new Nicholas Cage flick that comes out today, please let me know if it is worth the price of admission.

Just watched, The Boy in the Striped Pajamas, a simple character driven story that doesn't have a dull moment. Nothing groundbreaking in it, but very enjoyable to watch that i'd recommend renting (it's out on DVD).

Set during World War II, a story seen through the innocent eyes of Bruno, the eight-year-old son of the commandant at a concentration camp, whose forbidden friendship with a Jewish boy on the other side of the camp fence has startling and unexpected consequences.

I think this is what he's talking about. Most sites have it translated as "Brotherhood of the Wolf" instead of Beast.

dumbs down for me because even tho Liam Neeson is a good actor i really don't see him as a "action guy" plus the ending is predictable

Meant to post this weeks ago.

I saw Watchmen. Amazing. Maybe it's just because I read the book. Others seemed to me confused by it. But I love it to no end.

Absolutely.

Like Liam Neeson? Like action movies like the Bourne Identity?

Then you'll probably like this one.

Based off the trailers I'm seeing and some of the things I've read about it, I'd be absolutely shocked if it sucks....

I'm hoping it's good. However, nothing in the trailer makes me want to run out and see the movie in the first weekend...

I did and thought it was pretty good. I liked Rudd in his supporting role in 40 year old virgin and knocked up but he was hilarious in this one.

I saw it, thought it was a funny and light movie. It wasn't as funny (at least to me) as knocked up or 40 year old virgin, but it kept the chuckles coming.
