Well... like serious critics of every art form, you have a rep for liking art that most folks haven't been exposed to yet. Think of it as being "ahead of the curve."

I'm serious, that is a VERY impressive and very fast correct answer ... LABF will corroborate that was the answer.

Well, thank you. I thought you'd know by now however that just because the range has expanded, that in no way means that I'm beyond anything pounded into the ground by classic rock radio stations on a daily basis. The search always continues for new sounds but the old standbys are never forgotton.

It's really not all that impressive though Buff, I mean, who hasn't been bombared by Frampton Comes Alive? Surely not anyone who was alive in the late 70's, regardless of age. Like Fleetwood Mac's Rumors, the in depth knowledge of the work is unavoidable, whether you liked it or not, because it was that unescapably, unavoidably huge.

Tesla actually included that Frampton cover in their two cover discs they released in 2007. "Real to Reel" 1 and 2. I really love Tesla, they got lumped into that Hair Band nonsense, but they were just simply a great straight ahead rock band. Anyway here is the Frampton Cover as well as some others.

Yep - the lick appears in DYFLWD, alright.

However, in all fairness, Frampton didn't invent the lick - it's a pretty stock blues/rock lick.

I'm not normally a big fan of classical music, but as a jazz/fusion guy I appreciate Stravinski's use of atonality, chromatic harmony, etc.
