Some people would say that this extreme level of obnoxious is good. I think that I might throw a beer cup at em....I think that thats what theyre trying for...to have their obnoxiuosness reaffirmed by projectiles. |

Tesla - The Way it Is
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dfgtFV4K6KU (sorry, embedding disabled) The 4 bars of guitar solo @ 2:53 in is a straight note-for-note ripoff of a very well-known solo from the late 1970s. Beers are on me for anybody (other than LABF) who can identify that stolen solo. |

DAMN!!! For a guy who notoriously dislikes music that's popular (
), that is an excellent ear! LABF will corroborate "Do You Feel" is the correct answer .... (wait ... did LABF feed you the correct answer?)I came in here now ready to give a great clue: "The artist this riff was stolen from has been a guest star on both The Simpsons and Family Guy." Anyway Hogan, I was already gonna buy you a cigar on OM Weekend last year but missed it, now I guess it's cigars and beer on me in '09. |

Tesla actually included that Frampton cover in their two cover discs they released in 2007. "Real to Reel" 1 and 2. I really love Tesla, they got lumped into that Hair Band nonsense, but they were just simply a great straight ahead rock band. Anyway here is the Frampton Cover as well as some others.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=me4RXkX4lyI They also did alot of covers that were pretty cool from a bunch of different classic artists. Tesla Covers Beatles http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Htamk...eature=related Tesla Covers James Gang http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqnfPP3g7uY Tesla Covers Deep Purple http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcfTI...eature=related Tesla Covers The Guess Who http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7brGhh4_0PQ Tesla Covers Robin Trower http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tp2ZsC7WKZw |

Oh .... so maybe he lifted that solo part as an homage?
Cool. I can stop hating them now. |

Ahh The Jam, Weller was never better. Here's my fave Jam track, absolutely love the rough soul influence on it.
