Default TJ -Orange Mane Mobile?

After spending more time than I'd like to admit tediously surfing the Mane on my cell, I got to thinking how sweet a mobile-friendly OM would be. Taco, is this possible through your server?

I'm having problems logging onto the Mane through my Blackberry Bold. Doubt the mane is supposed to be mobile friendly to view seeing that I can visit other sites.

I'm going to be doing a long planned board software update soon. I've gotten a lot of ducks lined up for it, but need to get a few of the last items in order.

This used to be a lot easier!

I'll help beta if you need.

I'm using WinMo 6.1

I can get on through my Centro, but the site is obviously not designed for mobile...but I can get what I want when I have nothing else....

Graphic wise and speed...everything is fine when I go on this site, its a bold. So it's supposed to run just like a computer would when you are online. The problem is that I cannot view the log-in where you type your username and pw. It's weird.

See, WinMo 7 or something like that is supposed to have a "full" IE on the mobile. They are at 6.1 now.

For those with Windows Mobile devices, download a trial of Opera Mobile (I don't think they have a blackberry version, but they might).

I can almost guarantee that after the 30 day trial you will buy it.

Light years beyond Pocket IE for normal browsing, but even better when trying to access sites like forums. Login screens, buttons, etc. are no longer a problem.

Give it a shot.

The above post i made via my pantech duo using opera 8.0 for smartphones (mine is NOT a touch screen).

From what i can see opera only had touch screen versions for beta.

I had posted this more than a year ago... may still be of some use (I have now switched to a 3g HTC)

I did a little searching and I found a couple things. There is a mobile device style assignment hack that auto detects that you are browsing from your mobile device. It works with this style. If you want to see what it looks like click here

I normally get average downloads per page on the mane around 300-400 kb, with this style the average was 100-150. This increased the speed of the forums immensely with GPRS.

Just a thought….

Here is a shot of my phone running that other forums page with the style implemented.
