I wear Levi's myself and find them to be an excellent value for the money. T-shirts are a dime a dozen so there is no need to buy anything even close to $50 or more. Get some decent dress pants and shirts so you can look good for church and nicer get-togethers.

I have some pretty good quality stuff and I haven't spent more than $50 on anything (including shoes) in the last fear years except for my suit and coat.
If Nick lets me know when the Lucky Brands go on sale, I'll be that guy!!! Not quite 40, but I fit your other parameters for the stereotype!

You wear $150 jeans and TapOut shirts and hit on jail bait at the mall?

I guess some people just have more time and money than I do. Though I think that people are mortgaging their time and money to look cool when they really can't afford it. It is like the housing market has hit the mall.

Exactly. Yeah you can buy the cheapest **** around from Walmart (hunting gear/fly fishing gear). I tried the hunter orange sweatshirts from Walmart. Three days in the woods the zipper broke. Then what? Your ****ed. Bought another one the following year. Same crap.

Or you pony up a little more dough on your outdoor gear and you use it year after year.

Lifetime warranty on waders? wow..Thanks for the tip.

The best pair of jeans I have are Abercrombie, luckily I got them at their outlet store in Ontario, Ca. IMO they fit better than express, levi and other no name brands I have. I've never worn Lucky or Deisel jeans though so no sure on that.

No, but if I can find those $150 jeans for $20 I'll strut them... and I have the 3 kids. Other than that, I don't fit your stereotype. Sorry.

Just bought a $30 pair of Lucky Jeans from Costco I had never heard of them before but they felt really good. Too funny!

Money's far from an issue but I completely agree with what you've said.

Getting some comfortable and good looking levi's, and then some shirts with no brand names, and maybe a stripe here or there is what I prefer. You make the clothes look good, if you're ugly, they won't help you much.

Hopefully you listen to Howard. The past year or two they've really had some homeruns with that sound clip.

Assliction and Ed Fardy's time has past....If you are trying to look trendy and "cool" I would stay away from stuff they sell at Costco.

I know you cant go to a bar or a club and swing a dead cat and not hit someone in Fardy or Assliction, doesnt mean its cool or trendy.

Yup, because Assliction and Ed Fardy screams maturity. If you dont like the brand, simply say so. What brands do you like?

It's not about how good the resume is, it's how you wear it. You make the resume.

I will pony up top dollar for good outdoor gear....I am just not going to spend top dollar on clothes for work and around the house.

I am a firm believer in getting what you pay for with outdoor clothes/gear.

Almost all my fishing rods have a lifetime warranty.

You might spend $150 to $500 on a rod....but if anything at all happens to one, send it back to manufacturer and they will fix it, or replace it for no charge.

I busted one of my St. Croix rods while closing the back of my 4Runner a few years back....I sent it back to them and they replaced it, with no hassles, or questions about how it was broken.
