I'm glad that SoCal is getting his team. I would love to have the same team each year but I do understand that we should let new posters get a fair shot too. I picked for the Packers a few years ago and thats why I wanted them as one of my teams.

I would welcome more then just one co GM if there are multiple people that want to be apart of this. PM me if you do. Its a good time and I have no problem listening to others.

Its a good system, though I completely understand what you were aiming for this year, since as the mock has gained in popularity there have been fewer and fewer openings each year. When bringing in co-GMs and assistant GMs you add another wrinkle on top of that, and if we allowed succession rights from GMs to their #2's we'd quickly see the amount of newcomers involved drop to pretty much zero (which despite my hatred of the nubz I think is a bad thing).

But then maybe thats the solution in and of itself? newcomers can start out with an established GM that we know will make his picks on time and as they get into the flow they can either take over another team when a vacancy arises, or step up to the full GM role when the GM they've been working with decides to hang it up.

Regardless though, a mock draft that doesn't have SoCal picking for SF would just feel wrong. This was all his baby to start with and its not like we'd find anyone who'll make more appropriate picks for a team than he could for SF (including the 49ers front office).

Thats the biggest issue here. I too dont really care but when Florida Bronco explained how he and a few others were doing it i totally understood where he was coming from. But i do think it was on SoCal's and those guys shoulders to enlighten you about the system they had been using so that we could of avoided all this from the get go. Communication people, it goes a long way. I can say right now that if FB wants back in on Detroit and the guy who has them would be willing to take Bmore i would give up my spot on the draft this year so that the guys who have been using this system could continue to play in it. Not that big a deal to me honestly.

Nothing was on Socal at all. He started the draft, but didn't run it last year, nor this year. Thinking it over, I have as much blame as anybody. I busted out the rules and started going 100 MPH right out of the gates. Hindsight being 20/20, proposing the rules and getting feedback would have been the best move.

As it is, we just had a communication issue. We've communicated and now that everything is settled, we're moving on. Florida is going to be involved in the draft in some capacity, which is great, and I sincerely hope Socal drafts for SF. Problem solved, no more drama, let's move on.
