Default Anybody taking a Vacation this Winter?

Well, Obama is in Office now, and we are in offseason mode(so not a lot to talk about other than bickering), so I thought I'd ask if anybody's going anywhere special this year-

We just booked our Winter Vacation (not to be confused with our Summer Vacation )and I was just checking out the places we are going on the 'Net. So, where are you going? I can't be the only one doing anything could I?

I just got back from Mesquite, NV. Its only a 5 hour drive and the weather and golf can't be beat between Mesquite and St. George, UT. Not to mention I seem to do really well on craps tables in Mesquite. Craps anywhere else I lose big, craps in Mesquite.... well then I am just awesome.

Mesquite is cool. When I lived in Vegas, that would be our "guys weekend" getaway. Leave the wives at home, and shoot down the road for some golf and craps. Hopefully the wife will get stationed there (Nellis) again.

Going up to Idyllwild for about 4-5 days, staying in the company cabin up there, beautiful place in the winter.

I'm going to do a road trip as soon as I finish my current project, but haven't thrown the arrow at the map yet. Trying to show as much of the country as possible to my daughter before it all goes to ****.

Anyone have any recomendations for restaurants and other must-do thingies in Lake Havasu City?

Oh and my wife is forcing me to stop in frigging Las Vegas for a couple of nights. SOB. It sucks to be the VP of the family!

Well,

We just got back from our seven day Cruise last Sunday-I'm afraid we are turning into Cruise junkies (this was our fourth one)-went to the Cayman Islands, Cozumel, Belize and Isle of Roatan (off the coast of Honduras)-weather was absolutely incredible, this was the best Cruise so far.

The Seas were glass smooth, and we left out of Tampa-it was 68 degrees when we left, and as we were just out of Tampa Bay, I started thinking about those NFL players that capsized-the water isn't that warm right now in Florida(it was great everywhere else), and it would have been miserable to be out there.

Anyway, my Wife won $670.00 in the Casino on the Ship, we snorkeled, drove Jeeps on the Beach, swam with Stingrays and Sea Turtles, played with Monkeys and Macaws, Iguanas, saw Mayan Temples and a bunch of other stuff (typical Caribbean Cruise stuff)-we had a Balcony Room, and just had a ball-I want to do a Mediterranean Cruise next-
