I was talking about the whole Woodstock thing to someone this afternoon and they brought up the Ten Years After clip as a highlight....I'd have to disagree with that as well as the tune is sunk by the overlong middle portion of it when Lee seems to be just doing some scat vocals over the beat. It hasn't aged very well IMHO. Just my thoughts on it all anyways. |

I've never seen TYA's entire set from Woodstock, but based on "Going Home" and the three minutes or so out of the 10 that Lee actually plays guitar on it, you may be right. Too bad that's just at the beginning and end of the track though, what's inbetween is an ultra long snore that dulls the track's impact and edge. I go home-a, skeebopawow, Whhhhaaaaaoooowwww, do the stomp.

A classic from the early 90's. I spent alot of time rocking the bridge out on the kit on this one.

When the Brian Wilson writes for Crosby Stills Nash Young, you get something like Fleet Foxes.

Hey Hogan...check these guys out. The best band youve never heard of. I think that they are right up your alley. Somewhere near XTC...Chomsky.

I have been out of the Austin scene for years...I'm currently playing in the Dallas area. We may be down there for South By Southwest, but Im not sure about that yet.

Was going to put up Fleet Foxes today, but I see someone else is educating the unwashed masses to this awesome group. If you like Fleet Foxes you might also like Iron and Wine.
