I do I.T. for a major IT company - who has me contracted to a major phone company. But i do what ever they need, and i do any IT job i can find.
hopefully - i'll get some good attention with a project and quit doing IT for a living. I guess, i should note...that i'm on the cleaning crew. If I show up at your job, chances are you are fired. |

Technically a field geologist for a rapidly growing environmental services company. I say technically because on top of geological sampling, analysis, and remediation oversight I'm cross trained in industrial hygiene and safety (IHS), about to start handling a good chunk of GIS work, help with CAD, and have covered for site supervisors on our demolition side.
Based in St. Louis and work throughout pretty much all of Missouri, Illinois, and partially into Kentucky and Indiana. HR stuff really isn't my deal but if someone is in the greater St. Louis area and is a union laborer, operator, asbestos abatement worker, has a PE stamp, IHS certs and experience, or a geology or earth sciences degree I could put you in touch. For the trades though union is a must, we're a pretty strongly union outfit on the trades side of the company. |

Also, would you be willing to add a "clergy" option? I could technically fit under a few others, but the job is distinct from other "human resource" or "non-profit" or "fill-in-the-blank" fields. No big deal either way I suppose...

I work at a drug development company in San Diego, we modify proteins by introducing non-natural amino acids and attaching compounds like PEG to alter in-vivo activity.
I'm trying to get them to work on Myostatin, but in truth it's really not such a great implementation of our technology. Still I want to get my hands on a drug which can alter the biochemical pathway responsible for these brutes: ![]() |

After listening to HF radios and 4 huge prop engines for 10-12 hours at a time, my hearing has problems too.

)and is now off for a 3 year overseas tour that involves drinking in Britain, not going to a war zone (though those options are available). Anyway, whatever you say A, I can back, except if you say Nancy is the prettiest boy you know because that would be disturbing (sorry inside joke). And just to convince you all how I love my job here's a little picture: Good night all. |

Yeah, if you got the time in and you don't have a PE you need to get on top of that. I'm taking my PG test in about a month and am currently looking to get into a Geological Engineering grad program part time so I can double dip the PG with a PE.
My employer has probably four guys with bachelors in civil, structural, or geological engineering and only one of them has gotten his PE. He's a vice president and brings in probably four times the rest. Everyone else is pretty replaceable. |

Neither, ha. It's a BS in Molecular Biology. I do downstream work in bioanalytical, developing assays for preclinical/clinical testing. I've only been doing it for a few years out of college here and it's really not for me. I'd like to get back in school, perhaps in a completely different area... business, econ, something along those lines. What about you?
