Default Pacers v Lakers

Anyone around the L.A. area going to the game this Friday night?

Got me some season tickets to go watch my Pacers light up the Lake show.

Let me know, meet up for some beers.

Haha..that arguement is lame. It was less than a year ago but, I'll cut you some slack since your team got beat down by 39 points in the Finals clincher!

If we suck so bad then why did we win the first meeting in Indiana and only lose by two in L.A.?

Translation...horrible assumption that I'm a fan of the Celtics...

Anti Laker! Thats for damn sure, I'll lay the smack down on all the Lakers fans that I see daily...especially those who have their car flags up 2 minutes after the xmas day win over Boston. Acting like they won the Larry O'Brien trophy. I bet you own a car flag or 4.

Speaking of sliding....Kobe tonight, thinking the game was over, jumping up and down like he hit the game winner with 12 seconds still on the clock, then pouts and whines after Fisher gives up the go ahead AND 1. Your Lakers are over rated and will not win a championship until you get players that have balls Not P USSYS!

Dumbest, most uninformed statement ever.

Obviously you either (a) don't really follow the NBA, or (b) don't pay attention to the standings.

Is it?? You tell me how the Lakers frontcourt plays against bigger stronger players? Pau folds up, Bynum gets into foul trouble. and Kobe takes 30+ shots...Thats not a formula to win games...example...LAST NIGHT against Orlando.

I have the league pass for the NBA, and watch 4-5 games daily. Where as I bet you only tune into the Lakers in the 2nd half...just like the rest of LA...

Oh and as for the standings...ITS ONLY JANUARY! Standings don't mean anything until the first 2 weeks of April!

I am, one of the worst records in the league and at the bottom of the division.

I'm just saying the Lakers shouldn't be giving up 18 point leads and almost losing to us at home.

Like I said - you obviously don't follow the NBA (or watch many Lakers games) if you're trying to suggest that last night's Orlando game was a typical game for the Lakers (insofar as you conveniently omit any mention of how the Lakers' front court has played against the Celtics, the Rockets, the Suns, and other teams with "bigger, stronger players.")

Typical generic, weak Laker hater smack we hear all the time (on a par with brilliant claims like "Al Gore invented the Internet.")

More proof that you don't watch games - had you watched that Orlando game you mentioned you would have seen that Staples Center was rocking!

But you just finished arguing that the Lakers were "overrated."

What are you going to do for act two? Tell us that the Lakers have the highest scoring offense in the NBA and have had the best record in the league because of help from the refs or some sort of conspiracy?

Your opinions are clearly informed by blind hatred rather than facts (as you would be hard pressed to find any serious basketball analyst who would co-sign your characterization of the Lakers.)

Last game against, Houston.

Pau...11 points, 3 of 9 shooting
Bynum...5 fouls...11 points
Kobe...30+ shots...

Last game against, New Orleans.

Pau...10 points 3 of 8 shooting...5 fouls
Bynum...4 fouls...7 points
Kobe...22 shots, 6 of 7 3pters...scored 39

The previous match up against Orlando.

Pau...11 points...4 fouls, 4 of 9 shooting
Bynum...5 fouls, 3 points
Kobe...41 points, shooting 14-31

The Last matchup between PHX and LA, Shaq didnt play.

Their previous game was Nov 20th...

Pau...4 points...2 of 8 shooting
Bynum...10 points...4 fouls
Kobe...23 shots for 24 points...

Does that sound familiar to what I was saying in my other post

They are overrated, they beat up on the lousy teams in the NBA and dont match up against teams who are stronger and more physical than them. Pau and Bynum are as thin as paper! It's January, I'm not going to sit here an argue with the most thick headed person on the Mane. Being the highest scoring team in the NBA doesnt mean anything, just ask Dallas and Phoenix. But I'll tell you this much, I'll be back here the minute the Lakers get ousted in the playoffs again. You just better wish its not a 39 point blow out like their last appearance.

And we still won (Yao is arguably the second best center in the NBA.)

Once again, you point to a few losses (while completely disregarding victories) as evidence that the Lakers are "overrated."

Would the Lakers have to remain undefeated in order to not be "overrated" in your skewed view of the game?

It's a long season - there are a lot of games.

Stopped reading right there - you've shown beyond a doubt that you haven't been watching the Lakers this season.

Were this not the case, then you'd realize that the Lakers have had a tendency to play worse against "lousy teams" than elite teams, e.g., the defending champs, et al, this year.

So you didn't watch the game. That's what I thought.

At any rate, the "all Lakers fans are celebs" smack is about as stupid and tired as it gets.

Also that game against Houston you mentioned as a win, was without Princess Mcgrady and Artest on the court...Lakers won by 5.

Answer my question Mane man. Who is your team?

All you haters can shut the eff up. Lakers just clobbered Lebron James and the Cavs. 105-88.

I'm sorry, I didn't know I had to have a favorite team to watch a sport. I was under the impression that I could like the game, and not necessarily have a favorite team. I grew up around the game, mostly NCAA. I was always around my uncle and his teams, just grew up playing and watching.
