Default Scott Pioli is a Kansas City Chief

Watch your futures....end....

Sources: Pioli to join Chiefs

New England Patriots vice president of player personnel Scott Pioli has agreed to become head of football operations for the Kansas City Chiefs, two NFL sources confirmed to ESPN's Michael Smith.

Pioli was seen packing up his office Tuesday afternoon, a Patriots source said.

Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio will replace Scott Pioli as vice president of player personnel, league sources told ESPN.

Pioli, 43, is close to Patriots coach Bill Belichick and has been with the Patriots for nine years.

Pioli should find a warm welcome in Kansas City. At the last Chiefs home game, shortly after the embattled Carl Peterson resigned after 20 years as president, general manager and CEO, several signs were spotted in the crowd proclaiming, "We want Pioli."

Kansas City may have New England's GM, but we have their offensive coordinator. SO THERE!

Hmmmm, chances are if McDaniels were still available the price for him may have just gone up...

Good for them. Some competition in the division would be nice, if Pioli can start drafting players who stick around for at least a year again.

You're probably right. But there were plenty of reports linking Pioli and McDaniels. I hope the Chiefs go the college route, actually.

It's impossible to know who was calling the shots.

All I know is we just replaced a loser GM with a proven winner from the NFL's marquee franchise.

The Chiefs are on an incline. Now we can drop Herm back down the slope.

Funny you say that considering 3 of NE's so called best coaches throughout their best years are failures at other teams, but the first person to leave the front office (Dimitroff), has been a huge success for his team in Atlanta.

Bronco fans probably won't admit it, but this was a hell of a move by Clark and KC.
Pioli is an excellent talent evaluator and has done wonders for NE. He is a HUGE upgrade to KC and nobody can argue it.

I'll wait and see who they replace Herm with before I start worrying. We have our GM and Coach and we're just fine.

I can. Carl's done a better drafting than Pioli over the past 3 seasons.

Someone's picking their stats. How about we look at the nine years Pioli has had the job. It's not even close

A chef fan talking playoff smack

I guess you can start a thread like

"The red knight will save us"

or

"Our punter will **** you up"

Another offseason and somethings never change

Of course, they could have brought in a hood ornament and it would have been an improvement over Peterson. Pioli is a good hire for the Chefs. It will make it all the more pleasurable to kick your asses in the future. Too bad Pioli is bald. Maybe he can rent a mullet toupee?
