Well, Tech proved that no matter how ****ty the Cornflakes are, playing in Lincoln is never an easy matchup.

KU will struggle there but I think they are the better team and should win.

What do I know though, I really thought OU was the better team but they got spanked by Texas

And OSU upsetting Mizzou was huge for everyone in the North. Gives everyone hope that they can be stopped.

We need the game more but we will see. It would be nice for us to get a win like that vs a ranked team. I will admit I was pretty hard on Bo at first but maybe he is the right coach for us after all. I like how fired up he gets.

We really don't have a prayer of winning the north (0-2, still have OU). Really KU is the only team that looks to have a shot to challenge Fizzou. I have a hard time seeing that happening either given your brutal schedule, but I'll be pulling for it to happen.

We need to win one of the 3 against Tech, Texas and OU. Tech is the likely candidate but thats a tough game in Lubbock.

MU will get spanked by Texas this week, its in Austin. Putting Mizzou down 2 spots.

KU likely loses against OU, but if they can beat either Tech or Texas(at home), they will be at 2 losses meaning the final game against Mizzou in Arrowhead will be the decider yet again.

I still thinK Texas can run the table in the Big 12, but I really want to see the OSU/UT game now. It looks to be a good game. OSU proved to me they have a defense. better than OU even and their offense is pretty damn good. I dont think OU can even beat OSU so it may come down to OSU and UT for the South.

Lots of good matchups this year in the Big 12 and we just got started

High five. Baylor at home next week. Could be tougher than we thought earlier, but there will be no excuse not to win.

Nope, Kansas City. Chiefs/Jayhawks/Tigers/KSU country. Ugh.

I'm actually pretty happy with today's win. I have no illusions of what this team is, and overcoming a halftime deficit (something we had not done since 2003 I believe) and shutting out the opponent in the 2nd half is a nice step, even if it is Baylor. Nate Swift is quickly becoming the 2008 MVP of this team.

On another note, the Big XII North's era of respectability seems to have come to an abrupt end. KU and K-state both looked completely lost defensively today. OU, Texas, OSU, and TT all have offenses that nobody in the North looks capable of stopping. Nebraska managed a respectable game against TT, but OU will hang obscene numbers on us next week. Thank god for A&m and Baylor, or things would be really ugly.

KC? My sympathies. Have you had your tetnis shots recently?

I hate being in Florida. The only game we had broadcast down here was the NU/Mizzou game.

Haha, Buffs fans talking smack...after losing to a ****ty A&M team no less. We aren't all that good, but so far we've at least taken care of business against the lesser teams (Iowa St, Baylor). And we, you know, actually scored against Missouri. But hey, you guys did hang 14 points on KSU, so I guess you're is on the right track.

Either team bagging on the other is certainly a case of the pot calling the kettle black

I'll be at the bragging rights/cripple fight game on the day after Thanksgiving. I guess we can just both be glad we aren't being led by Ron Prince. Our teams may suck, but I get the sense both are headed in some kind of direction. K-Suck...not so much.

Check this out, got it in an email today, pretty ****ing cool...

ALL TRUE BLOOD HUSKER FANS NEED TO SEE THIS!!!
This is fantastic. What a way to end a Husker football practice. Read about it here, and then you can watch it on YouTube.

Rigoni gets 'Mangled'
There was a little side show going on following Thursday's practice inside the ffice:smarttags" />laceName w:st="on">HawkslaceName> laceType w:st="on">CenterlaceType>. Former Husker defensive back and current assistant strength coach Brandon Rigoni had a bet with NU wresting coach Mark Manning. The bet was that Rigoni could run through or beat Manning into the end zone on five straight running plays. Both Rigoni and Manning were suited up in full pads, complete with Blackshirt practice jerseys on. Manning's jersey had the name 'Mangler' on the back. With the entire Athletic Department watching, Manning ended up stopping Rigoni short of the goal line on his fourth rushing attempt. Husker play-by-play voice Greg Sharpe was the guest public address announcer, and NU Athletic Director Tom Osborne presented Manning with a trophy after beating Rigoni.

'We have some people that aren't quite all there,' Pelini joked. 'I wouldn't survive that.'

NOT ONLY WERE THE ENTIRE TEAM AND FOOTBALL COACHING STAFF THERE, ALSO IN ATTENDANCE WAS DR. TOM OSBORNE AND BB COACH DOC SADLER. WHEN YOU WATCH IT YOU WILL ALSO HEAR THE TUNNEL SONG (SIRIUS) BEING PLAYED AT THE INTRODUCTIONS. THE HUSKER PLAY-BY-PLAY BROADCASTER GREG SHARPE IS DOING THE INTROS. THIS IS GREAT!

Nice, nice win for this team. We still turn it over way too much, which is a large part of why this team is so mediocre. That being said, take away the TOs and we win this even easier. Defense did as much as we could have expected, and Helu Jr. showed just how much of a beast he can be.

We have a very real shot at 8 wins now (certainly won't take them for granted, though). As frustrating as this team is for its mental mistakes, turnovers, wasted timeouts, etc. I have a lot respect for the way they have bounced back from ugly losses. If we can get 8 wins (possibly 9 with a bowl), I think most Husker fans would have a hard time not feeling good about the season.

GBR!

Swift has shown alot this year. Lucky is a player but I just don't know where he fits at the next level. He passes the ball well and he is very good out of the backfield. The way the NFL is going teams may take a chance on him late in the draft to see if they can get a few trick plays out of him. All in all Bo is making progress but we will have to see how long that lasts.
