I'll take a 4-game split in Wrigley. We SHOULD have won 3 out of 4 (god damn stiff Ryan Madson) if not a complete sweep but a split is very acceptable.

Very cool to see other Cubs fans on the board. I live about a mile from Wrigley. If the Cubs even make it to the WS, Lakeview/Wrigleyville is going to be insane. Its good to see Z rebound from a stint on the DL in such a big way. Yesterday was the perfect day between the Broncos beating the Chargers and Z throwing his no-no. And then Lilly goes 7 hitless today. Few picthing staffs can stack one stellar performance after another like the Cubs starters can. I guess maybe the Dodgers can.

Figures you'd be an Obama supporter too. Anyone who would boo a team who just survived a hurricane deserves ANOTHER 100 years of losing.

Today is a good day. Its nice to win the division on the field and against the Cardinals no less. BTW, no one cares about the Astros so what difference does it make if anyone boos? Besides, their owner shouldnt have agreed to play in Milwaukee. Anyway, Go Cubs. Im thinking of walking up to Wrigleyville.

As a die hard Cubs fan I saw this thread back in August and did not post on it as I didn't want to jinx the team. Well here we are the Cubs one game away from another sweep right out of the playoffs for the 2nd year in a row. All this after the 2nd division title in a row and no world series for 100 years. The game last night was a joke, every player in the infield makes an error and we are blown out again with big Z on the mound
![]() ?? If you follow the Cubs and are reading this you must know how sick I feel right now. Do the math........this is the 8th postseason loss in a row!!!!!!!!! What the Hell, I will go ahead and say it now cuz there is nothing to loose. The cubs will come back and win this series in 5 at Wrigley, then go on and win the N.L. And sure they will also win it all in the end. There I said it 100 years without a Championship is about to end. The goat, Bartman, and the black cat all suck.Last edited by Disco Man; 10-03-2008 at 11:07 AM.. |

The cubs thought that they won the world series when the regular season ended. They expected the dodgers to bow down to the GREAT CUBS and lose. But when the dodgers did not............... ooooooooooo did the sh** hit the fan!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Taken from mlb.com "For the game, the Cubs went 1-for-8 with runners in scoring position. For the three-game series, Ramirez had zero RBIs, Alfonso Soriano was 1-for-13, and the Cubs stranded 23." WOW.......... Just wow!!!!!!!!!! And that is just in 3 games. WOW. Give some credit to the cubs for getting on base.... WOW......

NINE straight playoff game losses. Next time some loser Cub fan tells you they're going to win the Series, tell them they have to win an actual playoff game first - in fact 11 of them.
Maybe they suck for another 100 years. |
