One of the great companies in the US. Jim Koch actually give away hops to small breweries that would were in need this year, saving them for going out of business. He did that because he love the craft beers and felt America would worse with more breweries!

One of my favorite Sam Adams is available in my area now, Oktoberfest. Drank a few of them last night.

Oh My GOD!!! That is an amazing picture! I need to get me one of those right now!
The girls are nice too. Actually those big giant mugs remind me of beer chugging contests we used to have back in college. I wonder if I can still drink as fast as I used to be able to? I typically enjoy savouring my beer more now. Are there any other Oktoberfest beers available besides Sam Adams? |

If you want specialty beer ie. Octoberfest, try a specialty store that sells just alcohol. If anyone is going to OM weekend vs the Saints and needs a specific brand, ask me and I can get my Dad to drive it out when he visits in Fort Collins the same weekend. I would love to try that East beer Younglings or whatever it is called. TRADE!

Bartenders need better training. I tired of ordering Dos XX's and getting a fricking lime in the bottle. It's not a freaking corona. Clear bottle = lime, colored bottle = no lime.

They see...Mexican beer..."guess I better stick a lime in this mother". Need to teach them the difference between a lager and a pilsner.

Also, isn't a Pilsner just another type of lager? Do you mean an amber lager vs a pale lager vs. a pilsner? |

Hell there is a guy that used to like a bud select on draft with ice and limes in the glass. People came to me and Dos XX all the time and corrected me when I didn't put a lime in there. Customer is always right... People are faux beer snobs who think they know stuff more so than bartenders are stupid. |

I had one of the new Budweiser American Ale's last night. Not to bad. I think they made it a little too mild to appeal to the average American taste buds. I think that it could be more bitter.

Wait, wait, wait. It's too mild for the average American taste buds? America, whose majority of beer drinkers (unfortunately) thrive on Miller Lite, Coors Light, and Bud Light? HA!

No, its too mild for mine. Those Miller Lite, Coors Light, etc...people will probably think of it as a strong flavored beer.

One of the few mass produced beers that I have enjoyed over the years is good ol' Michelob. I have had the amber bock several times and give it a so-so, and the ultra gets a "whats wrong with my water." But the michelob original is pretty good.
That being said, has anyone tried any of the new Michelob products? The pale ale or the dunkel? |
