I will be making my first trip to Denver in October to see a Bronco game. I need to know where some good and safe places to stay are because I will have my 8 year old daughter with me. We plan to be there 4 days and we will also be visiting the Aquarium and maybe the zoo. Here are some places I am considering please let me know if these are not good or if you have other recommendations. I would appreciate any information you can provide because we have no idea about any of the areas and I want this to be a fun weekend for my daughter. Thanks!
Sleep Inn - 9257 E. Costilla Avenue, Greenwood Village, CO Comfort Inn & Suites - 4685 Quebec Street, Denver, CO Quality Inn - 200 West 48th Ave, Denver, CO Comfort Inn - 401 E 58th Ave, Denver, CO Comfort Inn - 8500 Turnpike Dr, Westminster, CO Comfort Inn - 16921 E 32nd Ave, Aurora, CO Sleep Inn - 15900 E 40th Ave, Aurora, CO |

If it were me, and I was taking location/safety into account I would pick the Sleep Inn in Greenwood Village. Chances are the hotel is newer as well, the entire area is fairly new so it should be a nice place. Nearly all the places you listed are 20-30 min away from downtown so it shouldn't be a big deal.

Yep. The Greenwood Village address is easily the best neighborhood amongst those listed. And it's right by I-25 for easy access.

Thanks! I have never used Hotwire or even Priceline do they usually give you a decent hotel? I know you do not know where you will be staying until after you pay.

It lets you pick the "area" and the "star level" as long as you stary at 3 stars or higher youll be fine. |

The one in Westminster is within walkin distance of a mall (Bill sports collectibles inside), a few decent restaurants (Paapadeux, olive Garden, Joe's crab shack, Saltgras steakhouse,etc..., an RTD Park and ride and is one exit away from the Westminster promenade (west on Hwy36 to 104th).

Personally, I think that downtown Denver is as safe as anywhere, though I know others may disagree with that. There are great bike/walking paths that can take you to the Aquarium, Mile High, Eliches and there are nice places to eat around Larimer square and just off 16th street mall. The Sheraton was really nice hotel. I think it was a 3 or 4 star hotel on hotwire in downtown denver for $60 (then they add like $17 in tax). |
