By Brendan Sinclair, GameSpot Posted Oct 2, 2006 9:51 am PT In Comedy Central's teaser commercials for the first of a new batch of South Park episodes, the series' four main characters--elementary school kids Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny--gaze slack-jawed at computer screens, morbidly obese and riddled with zits. While the portrayal is a bit of a caricature of the typical massively multiplayer online role-playing game addict, it doesn't take a genius to guess that the show is turning its gaze towards the genre and its current standard-bearer, World of Warcraft. That guess has been confirmed by the official World of Warcraft Web site, which proclaims that the MMORPG will be featured in the first episode of the 10th season. (It's actually the eighth episode of the season, as Comedy Central ran the first seven episodes this spring, then took a break before showing the rest this fall.) This is not the first time South Park has dealt with the world of gaming. The boys previously got caught up in the Chinpokomon craze and went to great extremes to reclaim their stolen Okama GameSphere. Kenny even camped out to get a PlayStation Portable on launch day, then used the system to decide an eons-long war between the forces of light and darkness. The first episode of the season's back half, "Make Love not Warcraft," will premiere this Wednesday, October 4, at 10pm Eastern and Pacific. |

Been playing since it began and I go in and out of addiction. But, since online poker is no longer an option, it looks like the addiction is back on.

Wow, this thread only confirms the hilarity of this week's SouthPark.
Anybody who plays this game should see it, you won't stop laughing. |

I have an Undead Warlock on Runetotem that I never play anymore, and a Draenei Paladin on Kel'Thuzad (that's where my girlfriend plays. I hate Alliance. Sigh.)

I recently stopped playing WoW crack because my wife and I realized we didn't talk about anything else when we weren't playing. It saddened me to cancel my account lvl 70 tank full tier 4 gear and lvl 70 lock in full arena
but my marriage was more important than a game. So now I play Lotro and actually spend time with the wife. Thankfully I don't miss WoW too much. |

She played with me...we were just devoting too much time to the game and not to our marriage.

Welp it sucked me back in...got my warrior in full tank gear from Karazan and Full Arena season 2 gear. My guild is about to attempt gruuls (spelling might be off...so tired end of the semester sucks) for the first time. Got my epic flyer last night life is so much better with it.

Everquest was a thousand times better than WoW. Could never get hooked on WoW like i was on EQ.
All the bossfights are mindless and easy. Game is repetitive as balls. |

I for one am pissed they dropped another expansion so soon...All that effort is wasted since they upped the lvl cap to 80.
