Ugh.... The injury bug has made it's way to the Flyers yet again. Mike Knuble is lost for at least the rest of round 1 with a partially torn hamstring. This is pretty much the same injury that shelved Richie for 4 weeks. Who gets the start in Knuble's place? Cote? Downie?

what an exiciting way to end the our 1st round series---I feel pretty good about our chances against 'Les habitants'--now if we can have the Rangers take our PIT I would really be salivating

2 total bullchit calls cost the Flyers and force OT. The Frogs 2nd goal was an OBVIOUS highstick. I guess the reply guys that reside in Toronto want a Canadian team to stay in contention want the Habs in this series. Also, nice BS "kneeing" call on Richards with a minute left. Hey d!ckface Van Massenhoven..... Richie OBVIOUSLY used his shoulder to hit Kovelev on the hip. Whatever. If there is anything such as karma, the Flyers will win in OT.

wow did we get hosed on the richard's call....and thank god I have center Ice and could listen to the Flyers broadcasters--I miss the days of Mike Emrick and Bill Clement on Philly 57 --Emrick broadcasts for the darn devils now----

Enrick was/is good but no one ever announced a game better then Gene Hart. Clement is back on the broadcast team this season. He's been doing all the playoff games and filled in for Keith Jones during the regular season when Jones had to be on versus.

Okay.... In hockey mode now. Phillies won the championship. Broncos season is OVER. Time to focus on the Flyboys. The bad news is I am picking up where last season was. I had a hidious record in 25 regular season last season (8-14-3) and this year I am 0-2-1. Relax, I was 5-0 in the playoffs last season.
The D looks bad and the goalies have been just as bad. The 18 year old Sbisa has looked awesome and we need that (now and the future). Missing Randy Jones and ryan Parent has hurt the blue line. We have no cohesion on the back line and it has basically been guys trying to get used to each other with the loss of Jones and Parent. 4-4-3 is not a great start and I'm not thrilled with it but with our schedule out of the gate (ridiculously hard) and the injuries to Parent, Jones and Briere, 4-4-3 isn't the end of the world.
We should be fine for the stretch run and in position to get a middle to top seed in the playoffs.

LET'S GO FLYERS!!!!!!!!!

Flyers acquired defenseman Matt Carle and the San Jose Sharks’ third round pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for Steve Eminger, Steve Downie and Tampa Bay’s fourth round pick in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Don't know much about Carle but the front office loves his upside. I guess it's always good to get a promising young defenseman. The Flyers have had a good track record with trading for young promising defenseman (Braydon Coburn, Ryan Perant, and Randy Jones).
