look good (look like the part you're to play), relax, smile. most interview decisions are made in the first 10 seconds.

Use some visine about 15 or 20 minutes before. Having nice white/clear IE clean looking eyes is important.

Just make sure you use it a period (minimum 15 minutes) before because sometimes it will make your eyes red for a few minutes before turning them nice and clear/white.

Well it might take a little bit more but it does help. I know I take notice of the eyes of anyone I interview. If they are yellowed/blood shot I wonder if the person is living a healthy lifestyle or burning the candle at both ends etc....Now its not a deal breaker mind you since someone might just have allergies but I take note none the less.

Appearance: Pay attention to every detail. I always take note of an interviewee's shoes, fingernails, etc.

Stylistically: remember that people like candidates that remind them of themselves. Try to gauge the interviewer's personality in the first few minutes (i.e. reserved vs boisterous, serious vs goofy, etc) and then ratchet your personality up or down accordingly.

Practically: Obviously you want to learn everything you can about the company in advance to demonstrate your interest, but also learn as much as you can about the duties/responsibilities of the specific position for which you are applying, and make sure to emphasize that those are duties/responsibilities you enjoy (or at least are willing to tolerate). For example, not too long ago I had the biggest interview of my life and was crushing it, right up until I was asked what I found to be the least enjoyable aspect of my current job. I answer and give a little chuckle. Result: blank stare from the interviewer followed by - that is a major component of this job. In my field, this task is a major component of ANY job (dream job included) and EVERYONE hates it (which I why I picked the answer in the first place), but now I'm convinced I blew it. Don't make the same mistake! Best of luck!

So, today was my first day on the phones after a week and a half of training.

I was stressed that it wasn't going to go very well, worked out perfect.

Just have to give it time to learn the product through, things will be just fine.
