what the heck does that have to do with the flyers ?
back on topic here. afternoon game today, and again tommorrow. Hopefully they keep playing with that edge, the same one that they started the season off with, pounding other teams into turnovers works. keep it up guys. |

Big game today flyer nation it seems the flyer need to draw a line in the sand and the islanders are 7-2 in the last 9.

up 2-1 after 2. They are playing sound team hockey the last 2 games. They are also limiting their turnovers. Jeff Carter and RJ have really stepped up their play as well. Carter has looked like the Keith Primeau we saw a few years ago in the playoffs. We need that right now.

The special team stud strikes again. Mike Knuble gives the Flyers a 3-1 lead with 8 minutes to go. No, he didn't add to his PP goal total, this one was short handed.

Great game today. Very entertaining. Both starting Goalies looked like chit. I think Biron just locked up the #1 the rest of the way. Thank god there is no shootout in the playoffs (if we make it). Biron might be the worst G ever in the shootout.
Carter is playing out of his mind. Another multi-point game today. It was very important getting a point today. I'll take a 3 point New York weekend. Big game coming Tuesday against Buffalo. Lets keep the offense going (and tighten up that D). It should be interesting to see what Stevens does with the PP when Richie gets back. Braydon Coburn, who took over the point since Richie has been out scored a PP goal the last 2 games. Good problem to have. |

2 things, 1st shoot outs still suck
2nd you should still not get a point for losing a game. 3rd we got out coached today, both goalies let in 3 questionable goals in the first period, one was smart enough to pull his, the other waited until the 4th goal was scored, also why the heck was boulerice playing not downie ? if they wanted boulerice in so bad they should have sat kappy, who brings nothing to the table, dotn get me wrong he still tries, but hes got hands of stone and the vision of stevie wonder, sounds just liek boulerice except he takes stupid penalties too. ok i guess that was 3 things |

I was wondering why Jesse was in and Steve was out. My speculation was, and this is merely a guess, Downie may have had a setback with his concussion. It was only the first or second game back from his concussion and he dropped the gloves. He took a couple of wicked shots to the head during a very good "punch in the face" contest. Again, it's a guess but I have no idea why you would play Jesse in favor of Downie. I agree about shootouts. I would go 4 on 4 for 5 minutes, then 3 on 3 for 10 minutes. Someone will score within those 15 minutes and it would be as entertaining as the shootout and you would still keep the "team" eliment. One last thing, Carter is still playing incredible hockey. We needed someone to step up and he sure as hell has. |

More worrysome news.....
After the game last night, I was doing the normal waiting after the game for autographs with my son. Danny Briere pulled up and said hi to everyone and said he would sign for everybody but his shoulder was "killing me". After the cheap shot he took last night, I can imagine why. I'm not sure if that's the norm now after the injury in NY a week a go or if he re-aggravated it because of the cheap shot. With Richie, Gag's and Lupul out, we can't afford Danny to go down again. Hopefully the shoulder feels better on Tuesday. |

You know, I haven't been able to see too many Flyers games this season....but each time I have, they've not only lost but looked absolutely terrible in doing so.
Today is no exception....man, this team is very hard to watch ![]() I can't help but to wonder if they're even going to make the playoffs now, much less do anything in them. |

2 years away bro (if we get a legit Goalie at some point). They are very much like watching the Broncos this year. So much youth, so much upside talent, yet, they don't know how to finish wins. It's all good. I'm not sure if I even want them to make the playoffs at this point. I so want Stevens gone it's not even funny. If we make the playoffs, he will not get fired. If we collapse, he might. I want them to make the second season but I can't stomach the idea of another year with John focking Stevens. Christ, add Umberger and Upshall to the injured list. Whatever. |

Nice to see other Flyers AND Broncos fan on here. Do you guys like the Sixers as well? The flyers "D" is very suspect---Hatcher is such a stiff out there and it is true that injuries have REALLY hurt us--......

Flyers, Broncos and Italian too. I dispise the Sixers though. My Dad grew up in Boston and raised me a Celtic fan. I don't think the Flyers Defenseman are bad, I think it's Stevens' passive joke he calls a system.
