No, I'm no more a Brady fan than I was an Elway fan. But it would be hard to argue both weren't great QBs. However, if you had to pick one over the other, then any clear thinking person would have to pick Brady as the better QB.
Agree or disagree? And why? |

Ha ha ha. You're stupid enough to think I dont see this as a cop out? I know you have no arguement. So this is how you respond. I've seen it many times here. You'd have been better served not to respond at all, than to cry uncle. PWNED! Last edited by crazyhorse; 01-26-2008 at 10:25 AM.. |

I made some crepes, one with egg, cheddar and prosciutto and another with bananas and condensed milk. It was pretty good.

She doesn't appreciate you bringing her into the conversation. I mentioned you called her livestock. Wonders what your motives are. I told her you were grabbing for straws because I had you painted in a corner. She laughed. Said it was a weak defense. I love her. |

Why the deflection? Are you argreeing with me that Brady is better? Or are you trying to be tricky this morning? Bacon is the best part of your breakfast. |

Every time I saw Elway play against the Pats he won. Every time I saw the Brady play against the Broncos he's lost........I missed the one game where Brady was able to win vs. Danny Kannell. I'll take Elway.

My motives? Some douche came on to a website where I enjoy discussing the Broncos and decided to try and antagonize my fellow fans and I. So I called his wife what she probably is. crazyhorse & wife = ![]() Now I shall use the ignore function, something I should have done to this new "Bob" a long time ago. |

You give Elway a crappy team to work with, he'll take them to a super bowl.
You give Brady a crappy team to work with, he'll throw fits and look disinterested like he did for the first 8 weeks of last season. Give Brady credit, he's had a great career thus far. He's also had a lot working in his favor as well. Lets be careful when comparing him to other great players though. |

why hasn't this garbage thread been locked and trashed yet?
Why does this troll continue to get privileges to post crap threads like this just to stir the pot? And you know what, I like McDonald's breakfast. Their hashbrowns are yummy, and personally, i like the McGriddles. |

Is this the best you got ? I mean seriously Brady has had the talent around him all this time and the state of the NFL is nothing near it was in Elway's career. There are simply no powerful teams out there anywhere. The mediocre NFL has created a Patriot dynasty. Put any Patriot team up against any of the great SB teams down the road and they will be beaten badly. They have won every SB by what 4 points or less or something like this. Elway got to the SB 5 times, 3 of which was with medicre at best talent around him and then the powerul NFC teams simply crushed him. There is another point which backs up my state of the NFL, the NFC which was the perennial favorite has simply vanished since Elway's retirement. Head to head our 98 team would crush anything the Patsies have put on the field and yes Elway with the same talent is a much better QB. I would seriously rather discuss how the Broncos organization is superior to the Chefs in very way. Chefs record for the decade is so close to 50% it's ridiculous. |

I think its worth pointing out that in Elways era there was Young, Montana, Marino, Moon, Kelly, Aikman, and possibly a couple Im forgetting that Elway had to distinguish himself against. In Brady's era, its more or less him and Manning.
A big reason for that is that NFL coaches have less time to turn losing teams into winning teams, and so its less inviting to put a young QB in and let him develop into a pocket passer. And so coaches decide to go with game managers and scramblers. An upper echelon pocket passer trumps the game manager and scrambler but there is also a steeper learning curve, so the benefit isnt realized right away. Lets also consider whether Brady is better than Manning or whether he has played on the better teams. Last edited by lex; 01-26-2008 at 01:47 PM.. |
