You know on a positive note I think our recruiting class got saved some. It was a tough few weeks there.

Well it's to be expected, since there is a naturally a large number of CU fans here. We were ahead for a long time though.

Yes well, in his childish disdain for me personally, Hercules Wrongefeller started a new thread on the Buffs to usurp my old one. That new one reached pretty far until you guys started catching up with the older thread, at which time corrective action was taken!

I did my darndest to get along with him for over two years ... but he always dissed and insulted me over and over. So I challenged him a month or so ago, and he came back calling me a moron and an f'ing idiot. So I really let him have it a week ago. Turned out the knowitall has a glass jaw ... he hightailed it outta here. Go figure.

I became a CU fan that year ... I was 9 years old when my grandparents gifted me a subscription to SI. Then when we beat Penn State, we were on the cover ... great memories.

And it turns out - as sad as this is - the mods here actually deleted about 10 posts and locked that thread.

I broke no rules - not even close - guy called me an "f-ing idiot" and a "moron." All I did was point out, within the rules, how clueless he truly is. Apparently Taco John's "libertarian posting policy" is not so libertarian after all.

Good luck to Greg Sharpe as he becomes the new voice of the Cornhuskers. He's a good guy. He was the voice of Kansas State many years ago and has been the head honcho at an AM radio station here in Topeka for the last few years. We're gonna miss him...

Finally we have someone beside Jim Rose to listen to on saturdays. Someone who actually can call the game. From what I heard of Sharpe this year, he will be good. Hopefully he can become a little bit of a homer over time.

So is anyone else worried about the sffuB picking up that RB? I am hoping he pulls a MOC and vamooses to the NFL as early as possible.

eh, we'll see. Obviously an impressive pickup, but he hasn't even played a game yet. I'll worry about him if he starts tearing it up in college. For now, though, we have much bigger problems than a stud RB recruit going to CU.

It's that time of the year: preseason magazines! Most (understandably) don't think much of our chances this year, but nothing can deter my enthusiasm for the return of college football. We're approaching the long summer stretch of only baseball to watch, so August can't come soon enough.
