Hey Penguin fans...

How do you feel about this proposed trade-

To Pittsburgh: LW Nagy

To Los Angeles: 2008 Second and Third round pick.

I look at your prospect pool...and its empty.

yes but he could possibly flourish on your team, he has always had high potential but never met them. Occasionally shows what he can do like last nights 5 point night. There's not much wiggle room for the Penguins seeing their cupboard is bare with young talent.

The cupboard is "a little bare" - but not that empty. We just lack wingers. We have enough centre's.

ok so they have no prospects but they are gonna trade away a couple of picks for a couldabeen ?

i like nagy but i dont do that deal either, for the above reason, all the pens young talent is on the team, no way do i give up any picks, i would however trade gary roberts to the kings for a couple picks if your interested ?

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins goaltender John Curry has been named the Rbk Edge/AHL Rookie of the Month for December, it was announced by the American Hockey League.

Curry, 23, posted a 4-1-1 record with a 1.48 goals-against average, a .939 save percentage and one shutout in six starts for the Penguins last month.

Curry stopped 27 of 28 shots in a 2-1 shootout loss at Worcester on Dec. 14, then won his final four decisions of the month, beginning with a 37-save effort in a road victory over Albany on Dec. 15. Curry earned a 2-1 win over Manchester on Dec. 21 and picked up his first professional shutout with 20 saves in a 4-0 decision over Syracuse on Dec. 26.

In recognition of his achievement, Curry will be presented with an etched crystal award prior to an upcoming Penguins home game.

Curry, 23, is in his first season out of Boston University, where he was the Hockey East Player of the Year, a First Team All-American and a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award as a senior in 2006-07. The native of Shorewood, Minn., is 5-3-1 in nine games for the Penguins this season, with a 1.87 goals-against average, a .926 save percentage and one shutout.

Curry is the first Penguins player to receive the league Rookie of the Month Award in team history

Kings have zero need for Roberts.

Funny guy, that Fleury

Fleury came up with an early candidate for prank of the year by stuffing himself into right winger Colby Armstrong's equipment bag as practice was winding down, then startling Armstrong when he tried to open it after returning to the locker room.

PIT 3 FLA 0

Another shutout for Conklin...he's on fire. Sixth straight win for Pittsburgh and 15 of the last 20.We are now 7 games over .500. Sid and Geno with a goal and an assist each. Geno's really been putting the puck in the net the last few weeks.

I'll tell ya - I think malkin is starting to progress. He seems very comfortable. Last year was tough with not really having a "home", etc. I'm expecting a big second half of the year from him.

Ok...that goal was just ****ing sick. Sid with that spinorama and just skating effortlessly with the puck, no noe could touch him, dropped it off to Letang and got right back into the slot area anticipating Letang putting it on net and it was right there for him to fire it through. He's got both Pittsburgh goals tonight and we're not even halfway through, he definitely has that look tonight.

PIT 2 ATL 1 2nd period

EDIT: ATL 3 PIT 2 Final (Shootout) Recchin Ball was the only one to score in the shootout, winning it for ATL. At least we got a point, but it sucks to see our 8 game win streak snapped.

PIT 4 NYR 1

Geno with another hat trick, Sid with 2 assists and is now tied with Lacavalier for the league lead in points. Conklin had like 40 some saves tonight. Penguins now vault into a 1st place tie with NJ in the Atlantic Division.

****

It's a high ankle sprain.

****. He'll be evaluated tomorrow.

Edit: They're saying 4 weeks. That pretty much takes away the Art Ross and the Division title.

****ing b****es...this makes me sick.
