Just a rumor
Los Angeles Kings: The rebuilding continues for the Kings, with goaltending and defense the main areas of concern. It’s been suggested veteran blueliner Rob Blake might waive his no-trade clause for a chance to play for a contender this season, but at this point in his career it appears Blake is content to remain with the Kings. |

I don't think Blake is going anywhere...
Cammalleri on the other hand, I think is going to be jettisoned if the right offer comes along. Also.... Stamkos will look great in a Kings uni next year. ![]() |

PM me please, I swear I wrote on a blog writing EXACTLY that. I wrote that if the Kings should happen to fire Crow then my choice would be Granato since he is a FORMER KING and also has ties to Dean Lombardi from his playing days in San Jose.

But King fans I talk are leery to make statements like I do with BerniernextRoy... even if Bernier is playing in the WJC's, as did former Kings Goaltender Jamie Storr. I can tell Bernier is special, he wants IT, Storr never did care for ****. Can't wait to draft Stamkos, that kid is Crosby-Lite. |

come on you know that tavares isn't eligible until after this next draft. I don't think JVR was a bad of a pick, he is playing for the americans in the juniors, correct?

opps i meant that kid that phoenix got, whats his name , turris thats it, tavares has been playing only on powerplay. sorry for the mix up, that shows you how puzzled it has me.
side n note, ive watched some ohl games just to see that tavares kid play, and all i can say is wow, kids got skills and hes not a whiney biatch. i dunno if jvr is playing, i really dont know much about him, hes in the american college system now and we dont get any of those games up here, hes supposed to be similar to rick nash is the name ive heard tossed around. Im just going by how well turris works with giroux, the two of them seem to really work well together, and to me thats worth something to be able to bring 2 guys in who already play together. you know you can watch the games on tsn.ca eh ? the canadian ones anyhow, i started a thread about it somewhere on here, that proxy server is still good too. sorry for the hi jack of the thread, hope you had a good christmas. |

It's all good Chadta...long as it is about hockey then its ok.
After a very long couple of weeks traveling the west, name a city in the west, and I probably went there. I'm not kidding either. Had a great New Years in Las Vegas. Anyway flew tonight again to Reno/Tahoe and caught the last 2 periods of the Kings and Blackhawks...and killed them. 9-2 folks, I'd say it was a nice way to start the new year, only problem I had with the game was with O'Sullivan swinging his stick at a players head. No matter who you are, that kind of crap has no place in the game. I know the Hawks were banged up, but 9-2 beatdown is impressive either way you cut it. Speaking of Banged up, Cammy missed his 3-4th game in a row and the Kings have shown they can win and put points on the board. Pretty sure Cammy is on the way out for picks/prospects/young NHL player. ![]() |

I'm on the fence whether to keep Nagy or trade him, the numbers show that he has improved from last year. I'm more content to trade Cammy to be honest because his value is so high. |

Dood, from the games I have watched of the Kings...which are quite a few I might add. Calder is gritty. I guess that's why he was called "Kid Chaos" in Chicago during his time there...

No way, I discussed this with Socal. We both agree that it goes against everything Dean Lombardi envisions for the Kings.

OK, enough with that analogy: the Kings need to take a page from John Davidson’s playbook and make a trade deadline feast out of their short term players. The Kings indeed should follow the Blues' lead by giving up their dead weight for quality draft picks (just look, the Blues even like their former coaches!)
Rudy did a fantastic job detailing a player who is there biggest bargaining chip, Rob Blake. When you consider the rarity of a tough, skilled veteran D-man compared to the loafing mediocrity of a Bill Guerin or Keith Tkachuk, the Kings theoretically could get a helluva package. Smaller names include Ladislav Nagy (what the hell happened to him?) and Brad Stuart. You know, more or less every recent FA signing. |

I heard that Chelios is lobbying for Rob Blake to join the Wings since Chelios and Blake work out and live near each other in Southern California.

I am a big fan of Blake, but that was a weak response. At any rate, Jakub Kindl and First for Robbie will do. ![]() |
