I don't live in Hawaii... - The Orange Mane

I live in Summit County, CO. However, to get the correct times to show up on all the posts, I have to set the User CP/Edit Options/Time Zone to "(GMT -10:00) Hawaii"

Not a big deal of course, just curious why this would be the case?

It's a deal with the server... I used to set it religiously, but when we'd crash, the time would reset and we'd go back to posting in the future. Then when I'd set it again, a strange thing would happen... It would insert the posts IN THE PAST (or actually the present), thus disrupting the threads. It's a simple enough fix, but I would have to shut down the board for four hours to avoid the problems that fixing this error causes... and I just haven't had the heart to do it. I hate shutting people out who come here expecting to get a Broncos fix.

Hawaii is a great place to visit. Having lived there for the better part of twenty years, and subsequently moved back to the mainland, I would not recommend living there. Too much prejudice and racism if you are a mainlander of the caucasion persuasion. Didn't used to be that way, but it is now...dman

Different state altogether back then. I lived there for the better part of 1984-2005. One stint on the mainland. When I went back in 2002, totally different attitude out there. I'll never live on Oahu again. Possibly the big island depending on if the "locals" are as prejudiced as the locals on Oahu. Then, I'll vacation there only...dman

I lived on the Big Island and Oahu from 97-03. Loved it there But love the Big Island a lot. Got the name Hawaii Guy because while I lived there I made 6 games in a season.
