I mean I hate to sound b****y but does anyone else notice this? It seems like after almost every play, not matter which team it is or what the score is, these guys have some little dance, or pose, or smack talking that they need to do. I'm getting sick of it. My favorite is when your team is losing and someone on your D makes a tackle - not for a loss - on a first down play - when you are losing - with a losing record.
Do they even realize they look like jackasses? Especially when the opposing team ends up scoring on that drive. Okay okay if you make a huge third down stop and force that team to punt, a sack ,a fumble recovery, or a pick I can see where a celebration is warranted. And the offensive players aren't much better. Wow - you ran a ball for 11 yards on second down from your own 20, but is that really worth pointing for the first down or talking **** EVERY time? It just seems like all of these guys are way more concerned about "dancing" for their own personal benefit than what they are doing for the team. A perfect example of that is what just happened in the Giants-Cowboys game, a taunting penalty cost the Cowboys 3 points at the end of the half cause some idiot had to talk **** after making a routine tackle on a run play which NY called to run out the clock.. That's my rant...Am I the only one who notices this? |

oh no- "my friend" it's gotten WAY worse in just the past 3 years or so. Oh yeah another rant---The helmets coming off all the time. Remember when a helmet popping or falling off was a huge deal?? It's so ridiculously obvious these guys loosen their chinstraps so they can get a little face time.
Thats it though--Nice work today guys ![]() |

I am usually with you but today when the defense did anything I couldn't care if they did some choreographed light show with a big band and movie cameras because when they make a stop it is a big deal.

Yeah like I said this isn't just about the Broncos as much as the entire league...Although we do have 2 of the worst offenders in Dre Bly and Nate Webster.

Dre Bly is really a key to why the defense cant stop the run. He has to start trying to tackle from below the helmet.

The game totally changed for the worse when guys like Deion and Bosworth and Mandarich became media darlings before they ever played an NFL snap.
Who cares if only one of them turned out to be a great player? |

That "Ocho Cinco" dude has put the skids on his creative expressions until they start winning a few games. Now that's a team player.

A textbook example just occurred in the Detroit Arizona game. Roy Williams pads his stats with a touchdown reception with 1:15 left - that puts his team down by ten points.
Of course, he has to pull off his helmet walking out of the end zone, and of course, the refs ring him up for unsportsmanlike conduct. |

Four letters: E.S.P.N.
The growth of ESPN and its highlight reels has led to the growth of show boating and excessive celebration. I agree it gets old. |

. Are you serious? How many tackles did he miss today?I've seen him kinda shy away from tackling RBs in some games, but today I didn't see that. I just don't think he'll change his ways. He wasn't brought here to stop the run and has never been a force against the run. Thats definitely where I miss Darrent. I just think theres so many other keys on the front seven that need to be addressed before we start getting after our CBs to tackle RBs. That is not a priority in my book. |

His helmet came up about two inches. The normal reaction would be to grab your facemask and tug it back down. Williams decided pulling his helmet completely off and striding out of the end zone like Billy Badass was a better idea.

Now we've got some idiot on the Chargers, comes in totally unblocked for a sack, and decides to make like Mary Lou Retton. Madden said he was listed as questionable two days ago. Good to see he's recovered enough to showboat like a fool and risk re-injury.

And isn't there a taunting penalty? I would say pulling of the triple lindy after a gimme sack is basis for taunting. |
