Default Durrrr

He's a mediocre coach who rode the coattails of Hall of Fame quarterbacks that were already capable of winning games by themselves through sheer athletic talent and force of will.

He's a disloyal egomaniac who has not allowed any continuity or team chemistry to form because anybody who he can shift the blame to is shipped out of town. The musical chairs on the defensive coaching staff and on the field show that.

Compare Shanahan to Clint Hurdle. Hurdle deflects blame to himself and reflects praise on to his players. Shanahan does the exact opposite. Clint Hurdle would throw himself on a grenade for his players. Shanahan would stand there, watch it explode and then fire the defensive coordinator for not preventing the damage.

Yes. He is the one in control of all the personnel decisions. If a team is habitually not prepared, nobody but the coach is to blame.

The Broncos had no shortage of disciplined, veteran players over the last few years. They were just shipped out of town as Shanahan threw everybody else overboard so he could shift all the blame off himself.

It would involve actually hearing the truth, and we all know this fan base could never accept that.

Mao's personality cult was less powerful than the one Shanahan has built himself.

Sounds a lot like Michael Moore.... lots of whining, no solutions.

Who would replace him? The esteemed Charlie Weis, who is sure to be shown the door at ND soon?

You need to face the truth that Shanahan has put together many different pieces of the puzzle throughout the years and made us a playoff contender year in and year out. We just missed the playoffs last year with a brand new quarterback at the helm. It APPEARS we won't be going to the playoffs this year, but we don't know that for certain at this time...

If you think Notre Dame would replace Charlie Weis, you have no clue about college football.

It's not his fault Tyrone Willingham gave him two terrible recruiting classes.

Ask NE and Indy where they'd be without Brady and Manning these guys both make their coaches look like geniuses. We all have issues with Shanny but, forget it Bowlen will NOT fire him.

Teams much more stacked than this one have fallen due to foolish, rash coaching changes. See our friends down in San Diego.

Being a playoff contender in the NFL is not difficult in the salary cap era. Every team is a playoff contender.

So when Shanahan is in his press conferences saying "we are just not getting it done" He is shifting blame to Player "We"?

Sarcasm flies right above your head, apparently. Job security at ND? Charlie's white. Nuff said.

So you have managed a team through 20 weeks of pre and regular season games to take them to the Playoffs? I am sure your Madden 2007 roster is rather impressive...

No, that would be you.

The salary cap ensures that talent is spread across the league, and a record barely above .500 generally ensures a playoff berth. Parity is the word. There are maybe five teams in the NFL that aren't in contention every year.

The Broncos have been the most talented team in their division multiple times over the past eight years. How many times have they won the AFC West? ONCE

There is no reason to fire shannahan. You want to know what the problem is? It's a rebuilding year, (even though shanny won't admitt it.) This is a new team. Add our long and growing list of heart breaking injuries to some very important players to this team, and that's why our season is going the way it has been.

Canning Shannahan is stupid, and I'm glad Bowlen will never do it.

your such a dumba$$ even with the cap the most talented team doesnt always win .... lets see 14-2 chargers bounced lastyear ... the cap doesn't mean anything ... hell the rockies prove that ... most talent on paper dont mean you win .. sorry , do you even watch sports or do you just like to b@tch about stuff you know nothing about ??
