Default Movie Songs

So Im sittin here jammin to Promentory off the Last of the Mohicans soundtrack, the song they are using in that NFL commercial and it occurs to me, I really want to watch this movie again. In fact, every time I hear this song, it makes me want to watch the movie right then and there.

What are your favorite "branded" movie songs. That is, songs you hear and you instantly know which movie its from. The Imperial Death March from Star Wars, Superman's theme, etc.

The soundtrack of "Brother Where Art Thou?" has some really beautiful moutain vocal music ... hillbilly/gospel, but really beautiful stuff.

Fiona Apple does a really nice cover of John Lennon's "Across the Universe" on the "Pleasantville" soundtrack.

Batman's theme by Danny Elfman.

He also wrote the theme songs for The Simpsons, Desperate Housewives,
and tons of movies such as Dick Tracy, Spider-man, Hulk, Men in Black,
Beetlejuice, Back to School, Weird Science.

Just about any theme song written by Danny Elfman I like.

I'll throw in the theme from Raiders of the Lost Ark and Gonna Fly Now from Rocky.

I like "Stay Gold" from Stevie Wonder. The Outsiders is a great movie

One of my favorite soundtracks, I'm not even into bluegrass/country but this stuff is great!

Love Danny Elfman, hey don't forget Edward Scissorhands and my personal favorite Elfman soundtrack " Nightmare Before Christmas".

A person can't possibly think about the movie "Deliverance" without hearing that banjo tune in their head.

"Squeal like a pig, boy!"

In my band in the early-mid 80s, "Dark Side" was always the #1 song we played ... even though the song starts out slow, the first line brought everybody outta their seats to the dance floor like magic.

I LOVE that soundtrack! I love bluegrass anyway...but, that just has a cool twang to it!!

Ohh, and I used to Love Eddie and the Cruisers!! The music was awesome, too!

Now, don't laugh at me, but when I was a kid, I was soooo in love with the music from The Jazz Singer!

I was probably the only Bull Hauler jamming out to that ..... the rest of the drivers would try and drown out my jukebox with Country ......

Well lets see...there's CW Mcall's Convoy, I know this sounds dumb, but when I was in college one of my pregame cd's was the music from Crimson Tide. Awesome builds in symphony music.
