Default A Wonderful, Wonderful Night!!!!

I'm sorry but I have to share. You see these things on TV and think how wonderful they are and tonight I got to experience it.

Today is my 3rd son's 27th birthday. He's in Baghdad due home at the end of the month. His wife came down from Idaho on Tuesday to spend some time with us, which I found a little strange since my son is due home soon and I thought they'd come down when they got home.

Well tonight we decided to go out to dinner at my son's favorite restaurant to celebrate his birthday in abstentia. We eat our meal and are all enjoying the night and each others company. My daughter in law says that my son wanted to honor me for giving birth to him 27 years ago and she's brought a cake. They bring it out and it says Thanks Mom on it and I'm checking the cake out and they are putting down some plates for us and the waiter bends down and kisses me on my cheek. Freaked me out....I look up and it's my son. HE'S HOME!!!!!!!!!!! He came home Monday and they planned this. The whole restaurant stood up and clapped. I don't think I have ever had such a moment of exhiliration in my life. I have to say it even out did winning that first SB. My baby's HOME! Thank the Lord!

It was La Puente. Not the fanciest but we love the Mexican food there, especially the smothered burritos!

Thanks everyone! I am definitely on cloud 9!

Great story and way to pull it off. It just shows how important getting someone home alive is better than anything, including SB 32. Congrats and tell him that he is an American Hero from the Mane. Enjoy some fun time together.
