Default Sorry TJ, MARINERS ARE TOAST! Sweeeep!

With about a month to go and Mariners just getting swept by the Angels, Mariners are now looking to salvage enough to get the wild card entry into next month's playoffs. 5 games behind the ANgels with 30 games to play, Mariners have almost 10 games more than the Angels where the opponent is .500 or over. With the Angels having 17 home games to go (and 4 vs the Mariners) and hold the best home record in the AL, the Mariners are now facing a up hill battle as they go up against good teams while the Yankees get the Tampa Bays and Orioles kind of stretch run. Mariners have had one hell of a run but did this sweep, where the Angels scored in more than 50% of the innings, put the dagger in the Mariners' back?

Even though mariners are in the same division, I still need the Yanks to make the playoffs as the Angels own the Yanks.

The Mariners didn't help their case last night, but at least the Yankees got smoked...

A win!!!!

I almost forgot what that was.

Felix was outstanding today, pitching with a Little League strike zone.

I was at the game yesterday and I can tell you for a fact the Mariners still have some life in them. My first ever trip to Yankee Stadium and I can tell you that the place wasn't in as bad of shape as I thought it was going to be....but there's no way, NO WAY a new stadium is ever going to revitalize that neighborhood. Talk about your ghettos, nothing but a gangland DMZ full of auto repair joints and suvy shops.

dont underestimate it hogan. LoDo was a piece of sheat and look at it now. Time Square was god awful and now it is class. The right people and the right mix can do wonders. Arrest them all and throw them in Stalag 13 would help too (but concrete the floors 10 feet deep).

BTW: 9 down in the AL west and losing ground on Yanks for the wild card. TG they have a weekend series against the Yanks to try to sweep them. Angels and Yanks first round looks like a shoe in.

Well, the M's had some hope at the time I was there anyways.

And John, normally I'd agree with you...but it's the Bronx we're talking about here. NO WAY. Hey, if dress wearing Rudy and his goon squad couldn't clean it up, nothing can.
