I Hate Barry Bonds More Than You! - The Orange Mane

I cannot imagine hating anyone worse than I hate Barroid Bonds. Compared to Bonds, I am FOND of Al Davis. In addition to the steroids - taken purposely to break the Ruth/Aaron and Maris records, there are the lies, the whispers of spouse abuse and woman beating from exes

... and the most hateful personality in the annals of human history. I have no earthly idea how Robin Williams finds him palateable - maybe he gave Robin's kid a baseball or something.

I will not rest easily until A-Rod passes him in what ... 2012? Or is that maybe too soon to hope ... ?

So true. Him sliding by and breaking the biggest record is a disgrace. Its going to be a long time till I watch another MLB game.

Don't hate him. He played the system.
MLB allowed him to do what he did. They knew what was going on, now the have to act out raged.
He has sold a lot of tickets the last few years.

A-rod will never pass him. He has several things going against him. The Louis Tiante Fat Hispanic Baseball player gene... and the fact that he's been playing soo long that burnout will probably stop him from getting there.

Do i think he cheated to break the record? yeah. But its unfair that hes the only one anyone ever talks about when it comes to steroids. Can you guys name the detroit tiger who was just suspended for the third time? IS he getting any national coverage? no.
Look steroids are cheating i get it, but to persecute one man when there has been a number of other people using is wrong.

He was a hall of famer before his alleged use and he will be a hall of famer when he retires to. He was already one of the top players ever before his alleged use and he will be regarded as one of the top players after.

Im not a barry bonds fan but im a fan of consistency, something buff slap hotrod and all the other people who get all pissy about him breaking the record do not show.

Dude it kills me that a guy like Kirby Puckett can get taken out for his entire career by a pitch to the head and NOBODY has the balls to throw one up and in and Bonds chemically largend head.

Perez is getting coverage. The difference between Bonds and the others is that Bonds is the only one who is setting a all-time record by using, Brady Anderson and Brett Boone only got a season or two and a pay raise from their use. The Minor Leaguers using are just trying to get bumped up to the show. It's all wrong no matter the excuse.

What's sad about Bonds is in the paragraph you wrote, He was a potentional HOFer' before and now IMO it's tainted.

What's bigger news, if a congressman cheats on his wife or the President? If you think from those terms it's pretty easy to see why the focus is on Bonds.

Robin Williams steals more material than Carlos Mencia. He gets away with it because he admits it whenever he's confronted and he pulls out his checkbook to make things right.

I actually like the guy and root for him when he is up at bat, but do I think he took some form of steroids/growth hormone? Yes of course I do. I look at it like this, I think a decent amount of ballplayers are taking something and Barry Bonds is still putting up these kind of numbers while the others are not.

My biggest pet peeve about this whole steroid era is how the media and hall of fame voters are looking at only the big/muscular guys as ones who are doing something illegal. Neifi Perez weighs 175 and has been caught 3x already. McGwire wasn't voted into the HOF as a statement by the voters but I bet without their knowing they have voted in more than a few steroid users already.

For people wondering about Bonds' growth, below is from an article about Game of Shadows. You have to be on something for your feet and head to grow.
