The juice gave him more lean muscle and fast twitch muscle mass that allows him to move the bat more quickly through the strike zone. They also increase his stamina and longevity and shorten the amount of time required for recouperation so instead of giving way to age like all athletes do, he IMPROVES his numbers. He goes from 1 hr/roughly 20 ABs in his first 11 years in the league to 1hr/roughly 10 ABs his last 11 in the league. Furthermore, even with the juice he still requires about every 3rd night off to rest his rickety a$$. F Barroid, he's not worthy of the record as a human being or a player. He's done nothing to advance the game beyond what has always mattered most to him, Barroid. He's taken a number once held in awe and glory and summarily crapped on it. Now it's just a question of who can use more juice, faster without getting caught to break it because hell, if Barroid can break the record on the "cream and the clear" why the **** should anybody else NOT use?

Why bother telling your children not to cheat in school if their justification is, "Well the other kids do it too." sits all to well with you, and judging from some it does and that bothers me even more than Barroid's sham, and that's saying a lot.

Oh, PS: Bud Selig.....FOOOK YOU TOO! You colossal, driveling, middling, spineless ass clown for letting the long term validity and image of the game suffer because of your indifference, complacency, and/or compliance in turning a blind eye to this travesty all to bolster attendance to fans too stupid to appreciate a pitcher's duel or manufacturing runs with fundamental baseball. Roids do not just increase muscle mass. You still have to lift. Steriods allow the body to heal faster so you can lift more frequently.
And baseball has been talking performance enhancing drugs since the 60's...so don't just blame Selig. Bottom line...the sport has gotten exactly what it deserves and so have the fans. Because they know what's going on and they still show up for the games. My guess is...it doesn't bother them.

I'm not saying you have to cheer him as a conquering hero, i'm saying he's treated as if he's Osama Bin Laden for 1) doing something 50 percent of the league was doing and 2) being surly...like thats unique in sports. Bonds was a great player before this (a 3 time mvp) and, with it, he became super human. Sure, I get it, he cheated, im not saying he should be hailed as the greatest thing alive, im just saying the crap he must deal with on a daily basis is probably unfair. I'm sure he hears some pretty awful crap screamed in his direction that no one needs to hear on a daily basis.

If you wanna consider Hank Aaron your home run king, do so, but its not like Neifi Perez is hitting 50 home runs. It's not ALLL the steriods. I'm just sayin people need to relax and not get all up and arms over something like this.l

You know what's kinda funny?

Hank had a HR 1 in every 16.4 ABs.

Barry (pre-balco[2000 and prior]) had 1 in every 15 ABs.

Hank's IBB: 293
Barry's (we're just talking pre-balco here, as in excluding the last 8 years) IBB: 296

It's borderline insane that Barry also had more BBs by 2000 than Hank did during his entire career.

The guy's a cheat and, for my part, I will continue to call him out on it in every forum and at every opportunity because it is precisely what he deserves. He's playing people for fools. When he was a bean pole he was putting up good enough numbers to get Hall consideration. But nooooooooo those numbers didn't match his ego so he took the spike, hit the cream and the clear, and now he has a melon that can fit his ego and most of the northern hemisphere for his effort.

Doesn't matter if it is all due to juice or not, there is absolutely no way to tell. One thing is perfectly clear, by his own admission he has cast a dark cloud of suspicion over his entire career. Some just choose to bask in Barroid's sunshine smiles of bull**** and call it a clear day.

Wasn't "The Clear" HGH stuff? That would increase skelatal size (i.e. you continue to grow). Also, didn't that stuff improve fast twitch muscle reaction / strength?

He couldnt just be "one of the..." . He needed to be "The best" regardless at what cost. I now believe his head didnt expand from Roids but from his ego. F U Bonds.

I am be no means an HGH expert. The Dave is probably one of the better resources here. I would doubt that HGH would increase reaction times.

he went from over 17 AB per homerun to 9 AB per homerun when everyone else goes down in production because of age. Amazing he comes to camp one year with a bigger shoe and head and then proceeds to have a phenom of almost 8 year period. But Nooooo, roids didnt do that. He admitted he took the cream. Sheffield tried to lie about working out with him in the off season and it was all natural. Guess who got caught taking the same crap as Bonds? Hmmm. Could it be Gary himself? For those that love the cheater, at least come out and admit he did and you dont care. Also, let us know that you will be proud of your kids who study real hard for their tests but still use the cheat sheet to find the answers faster and proceeded to get the highest grade in the class. After all, you want to be consistent on cheating overall, right?
