No what I am saying is, your argument would be more valid if Barry had won a Series. To say that Romo tainted the Broncos SB wins just as much Barry tainting the most hallowed record in sports is ludicrous. He is a cheat he deserves to have all records erased. Romo is just as much scum in my book.

Meh... I quit caring about baseball after the '94 lockout. Anyone who was impressed with the takedown of Maris' record was just kidding themselves. It seemed like a cheap stunt then, and has only gotten worse. Funny that the holiest of holy baseball records is broken tonight, and I find out on a football forum. Pretty much says it all right there.

Couple things from this circus clown who cheated, I tuned into the game on BBPN2 (formerly ESPN2).

1. Hank's pre-recorded message was so phony, I loved it.

2. The dog pile to get the ball in the outfield was funny as hell, the guy in the orange shirt jumping into the pile was funny too.

3. A Mets fan emerges with the ball and not a Giant fan.

4. This was originally on Yahoo! before they took it down.



5. Finally Barry's speech deserves an oscar, it was so phony and actually the whole night was phony and it was fitting for the occasion because this HR record is phony.

Dude, personal records are about a particular person, not the team. This is true especially when you hit in baseball. He cheated. Romo probably did help us out because he was a roid freak to be fair. If that was the case then he cheated and an asterisk should be kept by his name for all the records he holds.

I don't hold the Giants nor Broncos responsible for the decisions a person makes. I hold Barry Bonds and Bill Romanowski responsible for being cheaters. I don't care if Romo cheated with the Broncs or not.

Steroids or not, this guy went out there night after night hitting homers. There is no need to put an asterisk next to his name, oh no, but to put an Asterisk next to MLB*. I'm sure Bonds has faced plenty of HGHed Pitchers and I'm sure the Hall of Fame has steroid users. Sosa is probably the only guy hitting homers without steroids since he corked his bats instead.

Also, I'm still a bit skeptical about Bond's Steroid use, I can't say I entirely believe all of the myths behind it. Anyway, Congrats Bonds. Next destination HR #800.

cheated or not, people need to relax on him. The amount of crap this guy has had to put up with over the past few years (for something tons of other players did too) is incredible. If i were him, i woulda punched numerous people out by now. I think he's shown restraint. How do you expect him to act

Oh man, and the best is when they invoke the whole defense of "ya, sure, other guys cheat, but this is the HR RECORD!", as if this wouldn't make it THAT much harder to hit off of roided pitchers.

Plus it's freakin' baseball, where every park has nutso dimensions. If Helton broke a batting record would there be an asterisk next to it? etc.

What do you mean? Millions of fans know the outcome of his steroid useage. I hope that a grand jury will be the deciding factor that he is a cheat that broke a record that very few have owned. I believe i can name them on top of my head from the last 100 years. Homerun Baker, Babe Ruth, Aaron, and now Barroids. I just hope A rod isnt juiced so in 8 years or so I can be happy that he erased the only man without elephanttitus to increase his head and shoe size in his 30s. Anyone that enjoyed him taking this record on the conditions of cheating, how do you tell your kids that cheating in school does more harm than good? If i was your kid, I would laugh in your kiss ass face.
I went to the Angels game and they showed the hit between 6th and 7th inning. Glad Angels fans had the courage NOT to stand and clap. Most seemed disappointed. Unlike those sissy Madres fans that stood up and cheered. Shame on them! On a happier note, Angels win again and ready to sweep.

He's already admitted to using steroids.
