Good bump buddy.

My selection is Hank Luisetti, PG/SG, Stanford Cardinals (I'd list his pro teams, but there was no professional basketball at this time.)

Angelo "Hank" Luisetti (June 16, 1916 in San Francisco, California - December 17, 2002 in San Mateo, California) was a college men's basketball player and one of the great innovators to the game. In an era that featured the traditional two-handed set shot, Luisetti developed the running one-handed shot. Equipped with such an offensive weapon, Luisetti became one of the most dominant players in college basketball history. Playing for Stanford, he became the first player to score 50 points in a game on January 1, 1938 versus Duquesne. Luisetti was named the second-best player of the mid-century (behind George Mikan) by an Associated Press poll of sportswriters and broadcasters in 1950.

And:

The One-handed Shot of Hank Luisetti
The game of basketball was changed completely during the 1930s by Hank Luisetti and his one handed shot.

The One-handed Shot in the 1930s of Hank Luisetti

‘It hardly seems possible today, but basketball was once a slow-moving, low-scoring game. A college kid with a ‘crazy’ shot changed it forever.

Once upon a time---and you young guys aren’t going to believe this---the total score of a basketball game was frequently 25 points or less. In 1926, for instance, City College of New York beat Villanova, 11-9, and lost a tough one to Carnegie The, 13-12. City also beat Dickinson, 15-7, and in a high-scoring game, defeated Temple, 15-14.

Then, one day 26 years ago, a young kid named Angelo Enrico (Hank) Luisetti came out of the West and did for basketball what Babe Ruth did for baseball and what Red Grange did for football. That is, he revolutionized the game. Playing for Stanford University, he made the one-handed shot famous---and basketball hasn’t been the same since.

There are those who say Luisetti was the best player ever. ‘I can’t remember anybody who could do more things,’ Clair Bee, one of the best of the basketball coaches, said not long ago. ‘He was an amazing marksman, a spectacular dribbler and an awfully clever passer,’ said Nat Holman, one of the Original Celtics. ‘The thing I remember about him,’ said Joe Lapchick, another old Celtic, ‘was his uncanny ability to control the ball while going at top speed.’

‘He was as far ahead of his time as Bob Cousy is ahead of the others today.’ said Pic Picariello, a Long Island University coach who goes back 35 years or so. In a poll of sportswriters taken a few years ago to determine the best basketball player of the half-century, only George Mikan drew more votes than Luisetti.

And a former teamate states: teammate PHIL ZONNE, "Michael Jordan is the only basketball player who's in the same category as Luisetti."

After careful deliberation, the Biochemnerd Parade elect to go with another underrated golden oldie.

Kevin Porter, G, WAS/DET/NJ/BAL

Kevin was the NBA assist leader for 4 years, and enjoyed some great playoff achievements.

Kevin Porter (born April 17, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois) is a retired American professional basketball player.
A 6'0" point guard from Saint Francis University, Porter played 10 seasons (19721981; 19821983) in the National Basketball Association as a member of the Baltimore/Capital/Washington Bullets, the Detroit Pistons, and the New Jersey Nets. Porter was one of the most talented passers in league history, leading the league in both assists per game and total assists four times during his career (1975, 1978, 1979, and 1981). At one point, Porter held the record for most assists in a game, with 29. (Scott Skiles broke the record when he tallied 30 assists on December 30, 1990.)
Porter was also a key member of the 1975 Bullets team which reached the NBA Finals before losing to the Golden State Warriors. When he retired in 1983, he had accumulated 5,314 career assists and 7,645 career points.
Following his retirement from the NBA, Porter joined the Toyota Basketball Team in the Philippine Basketball Association and played for one conference.

CHARLES OAKLEY

A classic blue-collar player and one of the premier rebounders in the NBA, Charles Oakley began his NBA career after being drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers but was immediately traded to the Chicago Bulls in 1985. Traded to the New York Knicks in 1988, he was named to his first All-Star Game in his ninth season, the hardworking 6-9 forward was the heart and soul of a New York Knicks team that reached the 1994 NBA Finals, when his solid defense, rebounding and inside presence provided a valuable complement to the all-around play of All-Star center Patrick Ewing.
On June 25, 1998, after a decade in New York, Oakley was obtained by Toronto along with the rights to Sean Marks and cash for Marcus Camby. He started all 50 games in his first season with the Raptors, providing a veteran presence for a young team striving to become a playoff contender. After helping Toronto get one shot away from the Eastern Conference Finals, Oakley was sent back to the first NBA team he suited up for in a trade with the Bulls on July 19, 2001. After one season in Chicago, Oakley reunited with former Chicago Bull teammate Michael Jordan by signing as a free agent with the Washington Wizards on October 12, 2002.

OK, Freak6 needs a coach. We know his team isn't going to play much defense, so he needs a coach that can get in done with offense. Freak6 selects

Doug Moe, Coach, Nuggets, Spurs, 76ers

Moe became a coach in 1976-1977, working behind the bench for 15 years, ten of them with the Denver Nuggets. He also had stops in San Antonio and Philadelphia. His Denver teams were characterized by a run-and-gun style that emphasized offense rather than defense. He was often criticized for his style, but the fans loved it. While he never won an NBA title, his overall coaching record was a successful 628-529, and he won the 1987-88 NBA Coach of the Year Award. He is currently an assistant coach with the Nuggets.

Bob Horry5 selects Vlade Divac. (Via PM)

Vlade Divac, C, Lakers, Kings, Hornets
7'1", 260 lbs

Drafted into the NBA in 1989, he played for the Los Angeles Lakers and was one of the first European players to have an impact on the league. He was traded to the Charlotte Hornets for the draft rights to Kobe Bryant in 1996. He later signed as a free agent with the Sacramento Kings where he played from 1998 to 2004 alongside fellow countryman Peja Stojakovic.

Divac earned a reputation for flopping, or deceiving the officials into calling a foul on the other team by purposely falling to the floor upon contact with an opposing player.[1] Veteran NBA forward P.J. Brown claimed that Divac might have been the best of all time at flopping.[2] Divac freely admitted doing so, adding that he usually did it when he felt like the officials had missed some calls and owed him.[3]

After the 2003-04 NBA season, he became a free agent. He signed a deal to return to the Lakers and was part of a grand plan to overhaul Laker basketball. The Lakers, following a defeat in the NBA Finals, had traded away or released most of their players, including star center Shaquille O'Neal; Divac was supposed to fill that void. However, Divac had back problems and was unsure if he could play. On 14 July 2005, Divac announced his retirement, ending his sixteen-year basketball career.

# Earned first selection to NBA All-Star Game in 2001
# Ranked 12th in the NBA in field-goal percentage (.503) in 1999-2000
# Ranked 2nd on the Kings in scoring (14.3 ppg), rebounds (10.0 rpg, 10th in the NBA), assists (4.3 apg) and blocked shots (1.02 bpg) in 1998-99
# Ranks 4th in Lakers franchise history with 830 blocked shots
# Appeared in the 1991 NBA Finals against the Chicago Bulls and has averaged 12.9 ppg, 7.7 rpg and 2.4 apg in 63 career NBA Playoff games
# Named to the 1989-90 NBA All-Rookie First Team after averaging 8.5 ppg and 6.2 rpg for the Lakers
#Joins Hall of Famers Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Hakeem Olajuwon as the only players in NBA history to amass 13,000 points, 9,000 rebounds, 3,000 assists and 1,500 blocked shots.
