OK, I just heard that apparently Nebraska's kicker decided to leave the program this past spring. What happened there? It sounded like he was going to be a decent one. Was he forced out or leave on his own accord?

Jordan Congdon

He left on his own, supposedly for family issues.... but has since transfered to USC. He was supposed to be a good one, but never had much range. Maybe USC can coach some range out of him.

Reserve DB quits the team? Corey Young appears to be leaving the bugeaters as well. That has to hurt the depth at an already thin position.

Very true...... especially if Zac Bowman does not come back from injury the same player he was 2 years ago.

They do have some good young players though in Rickey Thenarse, Major Culbert, etc. as well as incoming freshmen Anthony Blue and Shawn Sullivan.

My favorite of the bunch is Thenarse... I think he will be a very good player when all is said and done.

I was very disappointed when Thenarse chose the corn over CU. My recollection is it was nip and tuck with that kid, down the the final hours on signing day. He'll be a good one.

I thought so. I was really disappointed when I heard that because I, like you, thought he was going to be a stellar player. If he was falling asleep in our meetings, it was obvious he wasn't coming to CU because:

Actually I'm not sure what to expect. Could be harsh, could be a slap on the wrist. We shall see. For his sake (and yes, as a fan) I hope he gets a second chance, granted it should be under a zero tolerance policy.
